Where are those coming from? Are they hard coded into Kermit? And can they be changed? Sorry for all questions, but I like my graphics to be nice... Edit: Oh... those icon´s are hardcoded into the app.
Is it possible to install on a PS2 with a dead laser? How?

richi902, do you think its possible to run ulaunchelf hacked version and install say ulaunchelf to the hdd by giving it a partition then use kermit to instal OSD data and get the app to launch from the browser menu? im about to give this a shot to see if it works, thats all i need is a way to launch my homebrew apps from the OSD without freemcboot, my ps2 is chipped with a matrix infinity chip and i really have no need for ESR patching. i just want a better way to run homebrew
[QUOTE=krHACKen;bt660]Try installing this MBR KELF with FIXMBR.elf after installing the HDD Software. Hope it works. I didn't try to launch the LBA48 patched hosdsys from the MBR but I suppose it should be fine... thanks krHACKen, that MBR.KELF worked, i now can use 188gb of my 200gb hdd, i know this is the full amount after the ps2 formats the drive because thats all i could use in hdloader, thanks so much for the help

i'm afraid to say no, sadly!
i just upgraded my old 80gb WD IDE hdd to a 200gb seagate IDE, im having issues with getting the hdd to show up in the browser, i have used the hdd utility disk to format and install the hdd software and i have fallowed the tutorial to a T, is this even possible with larger hard drives ? EDIT... i have it installed and working on my 200gb hdd, unfortunately there is only 128gb of the 200gb usable. i hope this can be patched in the future so we can use larger hard drives with this amazing hack. i may bring out my old 80gb hdd just for testing this with and wait for larger drive support before i use it on my main drive, keep up the good work guys, this will be awesome when its polished
any news on a simple program to install apps to the hdd ? i have no skills with hex editors what so ever lol.
Problem is solved, works on "HDD_SNAPSHOT_20120722_225809.IMG" and "PSBBN032_A2_KHNHDD.IMG" It was most likely corrupted data on my non-sony hdd. Thanks for the Help, richi902 and Segment_Fault. Edit: Does someone know how you can add the "res" Folder and "jkt_001.png" for BB-Navi to the game partition? Like in a HEX Editor.

These are just custom dumps of PSBBN/HDD-OSD with or without preinstalled programs, for those who can't install PSBBN/HDD-OSD "normally" with the utility disc (some people still get a red sceen of death using hacked utility discs). Hacked utility discs are on psxplanet.ru too. Originally Posted by vash32 Edit: I can only fine this PSBBN032_A2_ENG1_KHNHDD.7z I'm not sure if this is it but I'm going to try it out. I've been a tester for that one. It's a test dump which is not intended to end users and it's a bugpile. Primarily used for showing the *hum* POC. I think the latest stable releases are : PSBBN030_A2_KHNHDD.IMG CRC:5E5E4C79 PSBBN032_A2_KHNHDD.IMG CRC:AEFB47CD English dump is PSBBN032_A2_ENG1_KHNHDD.IMG, CRC:65025AFA, and it includes a text file with proper credits to richi902 for his translation work on files. Latest stable dump of the HDD-OSD is HDDOSD110U_A4_KHNHDD.IMG CRC:D5CDECFC. Hacked discs are A2 for PSBBN 0.32 and A4 for the HDD-OSD. No changes since mid August because kHn got buttkicked by SCE for the *hum* POC. 0.30 has not yet been released as CD image. Neither HDD-OSD 1.00J and U. SUDC2 is supposedly in progress but I saw no movement :( . I didn't try the Mini-OPL but I guess it might work like magic with PSBBN 0.32 A2 and HDD-OSD 1.10U A4.

I'll try the mbr on your other tutorial for now, Thanks for the help. Edit: I try the mbr on the Non-Sony HDD and it may or may not work but now it needs a mod-chip, the hack on it is now gone and I'll need to do it all over (I have no mod-chip for ATAD patching).

Great work, never knew this could be done! I'm gonna try it as soon as i can. I saw on a youtube video that a psx game was running, is this possible? And how much space do i have to install files/apps? Thanx :)
