Isn't this one Golden Axe 2?

The world is crying out for a new Golden Axe game IMO!

I don't know anything much about the release of that particular game, But I do know that my local pizza shop has it and I play it regularly.

Arcade only. Real shame as its a great installment in the series.

I'm fairly certain that one was the Arcade only release, it definately wasn't on Genesis, it *may* have been Saturn but I don't think so.

Hmmm "Golden Axe 2" on SMS was an RPG called Golden Axe Warrior, I remember one of my old neighbors had that game.

The Duel is a wicked game I won't hath any slay against its fabled name.

Death Adder shouldve well been on Saturn it's such a shoe in.

The first Golden Axe on Master system is a fine game, some lovely drawn images....well at least at the time i guess hehe.

I dont think it is, Saturn was ST-V, GA2 was on System 32. Whatever, Saturn couldve done it for sure.

original Golden Axe arcade, 1989, System16 hardware - never got a direct port to any home platform, only downgraded conversions ~ translations to many home platforms, including a very decent translation on the MegaDrive ~ Genesis.

Golden Axe 2 / II MegaDrive ~ Genesis exclusive. not based on arcade game.

Golden Axe Revenge of Death Addder, System32 hardware - never got a port or even a translation or conversion of any kind to any home platform. of course it's emu'd in the emulator 'Modeler' and in MAME but that's another story.

Golden Axe 3 / III MegaDrive exclusive.. might have been released in U.S. on Genesis through THe Sega Channel (not sure).

too bad the Sega Smash Pack released for Dreamcast and PC used the Genesis versions of Golden Axe and Altered Beast instead of the arcade.
