All topics regarding the events of the past few days have been moved to a specific forum just for site news. The whole mess in the hands of lawyers now, so I'm not going to give it a second more.

I'd like to mark this as a transition point to normalcy and a turn towards the discussions that make assemblergames what it is.

Thanks for the support in the bad times. (Some beautiful pictures to cleanse the palate)

*update*

Amicable and polite terms have been made between Chris Senn and myself.
There is no dispute between senntient or assemblergames.

A joint statement now follows: "a call for peace and decency between all our communities and encouraging respectful behavior amongst everyone"
is in effect. Action to the contrary will not be tolerated. It is time to remember that we are gamers, and games are supposed to be fun.

Nice to see things calm down a little.

Those pics remind me of flower viewing last year, it was around a year ago that I started university in Japan. A time greatly missed already. If you are going for long enough Nicola you might grab some hanami as well.

I really like the Senko no Ronde work as well, really unique style.

Now I think the artist is Kunihiko Tanaka - I certainly recall hearing that, but I could be wrong. I will have a look round and check.

Those first two pic's remind me of blade runner and R-Type final. The others are very cool too.

I'd be shocked if they hadn't at least been edited in a graphics package. The colours are unreal.

I put these backgrounds and other beautiful ones like it up
for all to download. There is one cg in there, a blue forest.

The rest are real and some use filters, but no CG.

Seriously, I hated the way things were done and how it has to be dealt with. Legal action must be taken accordingly. Lets just not let this happen again.

And I think this is the first time a "truce" over the Internet has been announced regarding two seperate communities, lol. Rest assured, we won't end up on somethingawful.com (known for posting stupid things that have happened over the internet) for what has happened. I can't believe a game almost torn two communities apart forever. I'm glad to see how things are turning out, they are turning out the right way.

Man... The whole thing is such a joke.

In an effort to keep things calm and stable, I will not say what I really think here.

But, I no longer like Sonic the Hedgehog. That's right, they killed it for me. I can never play that game and have fun again.

Glad to hear everything is fine on the board. Assembler, I dont seem to be able to enter your site from my home computer (this one is at one of my classes), from 2 of my home computers actually, this wasnt a problem before the whole Sonic X fiasco. Now when Im in college, for some reason your site loads form their computers. This is odd to me, prehaps I need a different browser?

The problem is that several peer routers are intentionally dropping traffic to the website as a result of the events over the weekend. There are ways around the problem. Your best bet is to use a proxy service. I have a little more information on the subject here:

too bad for you, you'll miss some great old school platformers.

Remember that it is not the Koran that wanted that girls dress up like that, but the ones that followed it. Think about that.

You know, I never thought you could compare game character fandom to Islamo-fascism, but you're absolutley right. But I think it's more like drug addiction myself, causing otherwise rational people to behave unruly.
