Have any of you grizzled, gaming vets out there ever had hands on experience with the Casio Loopy? It sounds worth adding to the store just for the name (I mean we couldn't resist WonderSwan!) But we were just trying to get a bit more information about it. If we had that, the FM Towns Marty and the Playdia I think we'd be on the right road to worthiness to be able to hang out in thee ASSEMbler forums... http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

All the sticker making fun you could ever want.

Sh*t the bed. I better ring our man in Japan :033: and tell him to cancel that order for 12 dozen. ;-) Are you sure, we were convinced it was a games console for the mentally deranged...? Maybe we could sell them as a 'games console with added sticker making bonus...?' Or maybe we should just concentrate on the FM Towns and Playdia...?

Hey genkivideogames, I would buy a boxed one (with boxed games) BTW. I think you are looking at a machine for console collectors only, there is pretty much no actual gameplay value to the system whatsoever.

I think your average "grizzled gaming vet" is probably not going to get too excited about a game whose logo is two very girly hearts!

Same for the playdia really, no real gameplay, but some nice fun fmv games. +the idol discs are pretty fun for mini games.

Yeah good advice I guess. Unless my cousin is after one for her birthday. :Girl: Thanks for clearing up about the Loopy. Maybe they were trying to sound like Snoopy...? To be honest we were all excited when we found some, but I think we'll have to pass it over. Shame to hear that about the Playdia, but again we don't really know much about the system. Over to you then Mr FM Marty Towns.... Do your Splatterhouse thang!

I would buy one if it was less than £30 with at least one roll of "seals" and a game or two.

Hmmm well, I have collected lots of playdia gear and would buy a Loopy. Therefore it is not so far fetched to to presume there may be others like me, get them in good condition and I'm sure a good number of people would buy them, just for collections and obscurity purposes.

Now as for Marty, there is a lot of arcade, playable stuff for it. Just get them in boxed, they are much more desirable with a good box.
