what music and groups/bands do you like ?

ok here goes i like almost any genres from classical music to heavy metal

i am a fan of Depeche Mode but likes many other groups like Apoptygma Berzerk Pet Shop Boys Manowar to just name a few of MANY groups i lke (and not just synthpop)

so what do like in the musical scene of music ?

I mostly listen to hardrock and Punk. My favorite band is The Offspring. I also like Finch, AFI, Linkin Park, The Used, POD, Brand New, Hoobastank, Gorillaz, Transplants, Third Eye Blind, TRUST Company, Smile Empty Soul, Seether, Vendeta Red, Nonpoint, Rehab, System of a Down, Nirvana, H2O, Deltron 3030, Static X, and Socialburn.

I like to listen to metal (Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, In Flames, Rob Zombie, Devin Townsend, Nightwish, Epica), trip-hop (Boards of Canada, Future Sound of London), techno (got no fav bands) and an occasional bit of rap (but I'm very selective, today's stuff is cack, only listen to Blade and Osdorp Posse (dutch)).

There's too many for me to list here. I mostly like rock, but on occasian techno is one of my favs. Some bands I like include Tool,led zeplin,pink floyed,stone temple pilots, kill switch to an extent ( i got a good feeling they're bringing back metal in full force), shadows fall, alice in chains, A perfect circle, metalica (pre black album), system of a down. hmmmm i can see not all do like hip hop (sort of) but i only like some old 80´s danish hip hop by Rockers By Choice and they are really good :-) and not bad at all :-)

It used to be all punk for me, as of now I can't stand anyone now. As far as I'm concerned punk is dead, EVERYONE has sold out.

Now I'm going back to the roots, listening to 70s through early 90s rock, particularly late 80s-early 90s alternative rock. I constantly find myself listening to early 90s techno/house, as well as chiptunes (for 80s consoles) and mid-90s underground hip hop. Also like some college/geek rock such as The Pixies/Weezer :)

For metal I like 80s stuff, King Diamond is great shite :)

Any band with a song containing ANY screaming is an immediate turn-off for me, thats why I can't stand anything contemporary.

My preferred musical styles are fairly diverse, as I listen to a decent amount of the punk genre and its offshoots, soft rock, and a reasonable amount of game music. Frequently listened-to bands are Taking Back Sunday, Rise Against, Coheed And Cambria, The Postal Service, Bad Religion, The Ataris, Yellowcard, REM, Counting Crows, Better Than Ezra, The Gin Blossoms, The Cherry Poppin Daddies, OC Remix game music, and Konami/Bemani music. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of it right now.

Hi everyone, been luriking here for a few weeks now, but just thought I would add to this thread. I like most people have a wide n varied taste in music ranging from 50`s(have seen Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis etc) up to modern stuff. But my absolute favorite would be Depeche Mode im also an operator in a DM hub on direct connect too. I also love new york dolls, clash, pistols, Prodigy, Orbital, Shamen, all sorts really.
