Its a book with a game disc containing Yu Suzuki titles like Power Drift, Outrun, Space Harrier etc, not sure the exact line up.

Funny, i was gonna make a related thread : Does anyone know of the is a Saturn Sega Ages Super Hang - On, or if Super Hang On appears on Games works??

Yeah, it a book Yu Suzuki wrote about the arcade games contained on the disk. And other stuff, but not being able to read Japanese, I can't tell you much more...

The games:

Afterburner
Super Hang-on
Power Drift
Space Harrier
Outrun

Worth getting if you can find it for a reasonable price.

I got mine for about $35 -- it's cool. Shows Yu's dungeon, that has some pretty wacky stuff in there.

35 dollars?? you were ripped off. They were going for only 1000 yen down here about 4 months after release. I bought mine when it came out though and paid through the nose like you :smt022 Guess I was ripped off too :smt043

They're 3500 - 4000 on YJ, and I've not seen them anywhere else, so I nabbed one. Remember -- buy now, think later.

He's got a few busts from Shenmue II, lots of character designs, etc, etc. You know, things a game otaku would kill for.

1000yen for both the book AND the game??? Man, I think I paid US $50 for it when it first came out. You should buy all of them and sell them on eBay for a nice profit :smt024

If you want to just play the games, just get Shenmue I/II. All the games in the GameWorks are in the Shenmue games, except for Power Drift (which was released on Saturn as Sega Ages).

I wonder if there will ever be a GameWorks Vol.2, since the first one is called GameWorks Vol.1 instead of just plain GameWorks.
