Nope. I have the director's cut... im the guy that took that picture and it's totally different. The director's cut has no timer, also in this game the character is glitchy, some of the textures are missing, the fmv for the stairs starts later, to climb the stairs all you have to do is run to them instead of pressing the x button, the videos are uncut (granted, the intro is in black and white, but it's still uncut). Some of the camera angles are different as well. There's extra cutscenes, ect. That's all within the first five minutes of play.

Nah, its just circling used from MS Paint to note the writing in the wall that is not present in the normal build ;-).

I don't think it's a message from anyone human. It's written in blood on the wall. I remember seeing a website about it that said it was taken out of the final version. I have both the original and director's cuts and it's not in those.

I tried, but I couldn't figure out the buttons to stab the zombies, so I got killed & gave up :crying:.

Yeah, right near the bottom of the stairs into the one room with gasoline and a save box.

Also, there is another message when you go in that room that leads to the woods areas.

It's been known for years that there are different betas of the first Biohazard. I'm not sure but I believe that Wesker at www.survivhor.com has a copy of at least one.

By the way if you want to see something really interesting and rarely mentioned about Biohazard 1 and happen to have a copy of EGM #75 (Oct 1995) turn to Pg 99.

Its almost definatly the trial. A lot of demos/trials are mis-labeled as betas since little things are changed.

Theres a 15 minute timer, when it reaches zero it ends. Almost all areas are in the game, up to the point where you use the crests in the courtyard entrance. The game doesnt load the next room.

There are a couple things different, but its a publicly released demo so its not very interesting in the UNRELEASED aspect.

Is that the same Wesker that was on ASSEMbler back when it was still the ezBoards who strung everyone around with promises of the BH1.5 beta? I think I remember him leaving because some people called bullshit and, in fairly typical fashion of an 'owner' of an unreleased item at the time, he was 'hurt' that people doubted him and left without another word.

Then again, this was something like 4 years ago, so maybe I just have rocks in my head.

I don't really remember that but if I had to guess I'd say no. The Wesker that runs www.survivhor.com by all accounts seems to be a stand up person in that community and his website is supposed to be one of the best when it comes to the RE series. I wish I could read it but it's in French.

Yeah, now that I think about it, there had been some confusion at the time between the ezBoards Wesker (I think he actually went by Wesker666 or something) and the proprietor of www.survivhor.com (http://www.survivhor.com).
