anyone here collect chogokin?
for those not familiar this is term used for die cast toy but with the release of Bandai's Soul of Chogokin series few years back there's renew interest from collectors. I myself has several in my collection - although given away few to relatives birthday as a present.

So far I've got hold of below ones - as you can see I'm bit of Mazinger otaku. I grow up watching the series on TV... :p

Great Mazinger
Mazinger Z OVA version
Aphrodite(?)
Minerva-X
Hover Pilder
Strike Gundam
Mazingkaizer
RX-78 Gundam
RX-78 Gundam HK edition
Zaku
GM

i also have few Bandai PG and MG kits but sadly haven't had time to build any of them. last item I bought was JG Gundam last year. This thing is almost half meter tall! Great display item... never got around to buy matching size JG Zaku though...

cheers

Too expensive to collect down here, but I do find them impressive.
Mazinger is really popular in Mexico, since it was dubbed and shown in open TV in the 70s and 80s. The models tend to be centerpieces in conventions and stuff.

A friend does collect models like those, though he collects both plastic and metal, no distinction. He's more Macross centered, though - even if he does have some Gundam pieces.
