Wow, the Infinium Labs CEO sure spews quite a bit of bullshit...The damn thing was announced years ago, and still isn't any better. Just kill the damn thing off, and speak nothing of it again. Then again, it will follow the N-Gage soon enough...

How the hell are they gonna pull this system off? Is a company rep going to come to your house every 2 and a half years to update it? I guess if they can pull it off and make it last as long as a console generation without upgrades it would be kind of cool.
EDIT: oh wait, the last time I heard about this it was supposed to play regular pc games on your t.v....what happened to that?

Its goin to be a PC with aclosed-API eviroment, so to port a game you just have to redux it a bit (in resolution and graphics) and you are ready to go.
Man, Im sure those games are goin to be in BT 2mins after system launch :smt042
BTW, According to the system's official Web site, the Phantom is still scheduled to launch this year.
And in 2004, and 2003.............................till 2054

Actually I think they might actually make it out in Europe and UK. That region has a high percentage of people owning broadband connections compared to the US. Of course, they'll need developer support and that will be very hard for them after all that they've gone thru.

That's not being "alive". Let's list the phantom as "undead".
And it will be that way until the end or time.

well if that's the main reason then they should launch it in South Korea... :p
where you move into the new unit and the whole freaking building is pre-wired with optic cable... all you need is plug in the Enternet cable to the wall and call the ISP for an account activation...

They called the Phantom (Comic book character/movie adaptation) the ghost that walks.
That's more fitting ;)
