What tv do you game on ?

Since i got a "new" tv today i was wondering what tv do you have to game/watch tv on ?

My new tv is this baby:

A 100hz 28" widescreen phillips matchline, it has built in dolby pro logic with wireless rear speakers and 4 scart of which 3 are RGB not bad for a 7 year old tv me thinks.

I got it because yesterday this baby was setup in the living room:

A 26" panasonic LCD tv with all the extra crap like a SD and pcmcia slot built in to view pictures directy on your tv and more crap which i don't even understand yet :smt019

I got given a 15 year old Philips TV from a friends' parents, they said it was acting strange so they were gonna throw it out but after a subtle word from me I got it:

The strange thing is, there's nothing wrong with it! I suspect its my aura or something, as I got a working P3-450 PC from them too, which was supposedly broken :smt024
Well, my TV has stereo sound, a pretty big screen, RGB scart and 60hz support, enough for me :-)

There's also some Audiosonic TV downstairs, my parents bought it a few years ago - felt it was pretty ironic to hook up an AudioSonic PP1292 console to a 20 year older TV of the same brand :p

I use the one in my bedroom. It's 14' Philips. At least it's stereo :smt043

Anyway, i'm planning to get a 20' Sony, Philips or LG to replace that.

Sometimes i take the stuff to the living room and play on a 34' Philips Flat Screen (the same used for DirecTV, and my DVD setup) :smt023

Sylvania 19inch TV with A/V inputs. Mono sound. However, I use some crappy PC speakers to listen to my games at Stereo. I can't afford a nice sound system nor good HDTV. I'm happy with what I have. I didn't pay for it too, it was a graduation present.

However, I can use my IBM G97 monitor with is about the same size. I can play games on it via my ATI All In Wonder video card, which can record at S-Video quality.

About the only good thing about it is that it cost me $20. The composite connectors on the front (mono, if you'll notice the right stereo plug just hanging) have a loose connection inside, and sometimes a bit of adjusting is required to display both picture and sound. Usually the cap of a Dreamcast VMU has to be wedged in between them to make them work, but I'm lucky for right now. This is the Nintendo composite lead currently plugged in, which means Gamecube, SNES, and N64 (have to switch the cord at the system). If I want to play the Jag, PC Engine, or Namco TV Game dealie, I get to switch and fiddle with the shorted connection. There are as you can see partially below the TV about 4 RF switches daisy-chained to the back of it going to PSX, Saturn, Dreamcast, and NES/Genesis/Turbografx. The TV is about 13", which is the same as my computor monitor, sadly. One of the items to save up for this summer is a nice 20" with a composite connection, but we'll see what the price is on that first...

Is that a SuperMac screen? I have one of those too (21") but its #^@^&@ 13W3 connector with unkown pinout made me give up on using it :Hangman:

Dunno about SuperMac, it's made by Smile. Just a standard VGA monitor although it does have a range of other holes for connections on the back, USB, some kind of phone socket? Very odd. Was a great deal, bought it last week from work for £20, its had very little use too as it was connected to a crap computer (except for when I took my DC to work on a weekend & played that all shift).
It is a large screen though, about 21". Mine is without that LCD bit at the bottom.

Its small....has no SCART sockets or AV. I am forced to use RF with it. YOu can see how small it is by comparing it to teh Dreamcast ontop of it.

Plasma screens do burn in but only if something is on the same place for more then say 30-45 minutes, and the newest models don't have this problem, same goes for projection tv's

Well they can both have screen burn. Tho only if they are kept on like a pause screen or something for days and days. Also todays tvs have things built in to prevent that such as shit that i cant remember the name of :smt043

Erm one of them moves the picture by a few pixels every now and tehn. Meaning that the same pixel wont be showing the same thing for hours and hours.... All that stuff helps. My friends got a very very big 60" plasma screen hes been playing games on for years... no issues at all.
