Some way, somehow, this fuckers got 3 X360 Devkits, and are working on a modchips for the X360, which you can se above the controller.

Even when this does benefit me (im goin to instal this fucker in my X360) kinda sucks that this guys can get a X360 SDK for illegal purposes while some small developers would give their souls to get one of these.

BTW, if this guys got 3 of them, that means that

A-theres must be a shitload of X360SDKs

B-they arent as hard to get as other SDKs

I'd think any legitimate company should be able to obtain a 360 kit by now or two, whatever they could afford. Anywho, they must be on the inside to get any XDK of course, Also how do you know that theres really a mod inside? That mod appears to be suspended in space.

You have to remember that Smartxx has money from the chips they sell and their chips aren't really made to "illegally" use the xbox than the Xenium chips do. Smartxx is known for linux on the xbox so that isn't as shady as buying a Xenium to play bootlegs as they are better known for that.

I've read the MS Xbox XNA agreements and you don't neccesarily have to be a developer to obtain one, it can be bought for educational purposes too.

The real chip would be inside, and it is real, they have like 80 more photos of the 3 SDKs.

...Btw smartx is a 'group' and all the top 'groups' have had 360 Dev Kit's for age's, it's waiting for the final hardware, thats the killer ;)

EDIT: the big thing on the HDD port is real, but not from smartXX. Is an adaptor for PIX and DVD emu connections

I downloaded the pics. and dicsoverd on "smartxx-xbx360-01.JPG" it's says in swedish something like: "the device should be connected to a grounded socket when connected to a network". sorry for the bad translation.. I'm not a good translator ;D

JTI2K, and to all others, maybe the scandinavian language group is only 5 languages. But it is not german.

:) Yes the scandinavian languages is not of german origin.Icelandic is the closest you come to the language the vikings spoke.

But maybe there are some similarities, but i am 100 % sure they are not german of origin.But i don´t have anything against germans or their language. I just don´t like to be compared with the language, when it is not the same language.

i just want to trade out the dinky 20 gig hd for the 80-160 laptop harddrives around the office. I do believe it has a laptop harddrive in that hd caddy. Could be wrong but i really want it to be a media center.

Yep, it would be a nice media center, better than the Xbox in that regard. In one of those interview's Allard attempted to justify the pricing of the HD by saying that it was a 2.5" hard drive. Hmm would that mean it's a laptop drive or one of those rinky-dink mp3 hard drives?

Would be interesting to see how close to launch before a good modchip was released for the system. If they are messing with the Dev-kits now, they should of a 'feel' for it already, dont'cha think.

2.5 is usually a laptop hd. hmm m i think if i can find the right format i can make a bigger hd.

The XBOX360HDD is Serial ATA and I'm not entirely sure if its actually 2.5inches, or a regular 3.5inch hdd. As for format, its probably a proprietary one like the xbox.
