I can't decide which of these cards to get! I was looking at the Sapphire Radeon 9550 256mb but i;m not sure if it's the one with the cut pipelines. I'd like to spend 50-60$ because this card is just going into this comp and it's purpose is to hold me over until my other comp is finished (which wont be for awhile). Can someone help????
Btw I'm hoping to order this in the next 12 hours so it would be appreciated if someone could help me! Thanks!

The 9550 is basically an underclocked 9600 vanilla. Also, 256MB of ram isn't necessary on anything that slow, they only put that much on new low-end cards like even the 6200 and 9200 because it doesn't cost them any more to do so. If you have to buy new, you can get a 9600 Pro on Newegg for not much more than a 9550 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102409 . You may be better off buying used 9800 Pro though since you have an actual person to ask questions.

That's a little over my budget...but I dunno, maybe I'll pick it up anyhow. I dunno, I was looking to spending like 60.......but theres a lot of fx 5500's there, is the 9xxx radeons better then the geforce's?

I've checked Ebay, those are quite a bit more then what I'm wanting to spend, and I don't want to get anything too expensive or powerful because like I said, I have a new build on the way. By the way, the reason I'm getting a new card to hold me over is because I have a freaking Xabre 64mb and it is AWFUL.
So even if the 256mb ram is cheap it's not neccesary and wouldn't help stuff out at all?

Then try a 9700pro. Almost as good as the 9800.

Look at the 5700FX (nvidia) or even a nonpro 9600 on ebay.

Everything on it looks good, I mean it's cheap, has 128bit memory, 256mb ram, and 400mhz radeon 9600 core...I just don't want to buy something and have it end up being barely better than my crapco Xabre.
so does everyone think I should get the Xtasy?
