Inspired by the free Namco demo disk site, I have secided to create the free stuff thread. I know there is a lot of crap on the internet that offers free I-pods, Psp's, and Jesus's autograph and such, so I would prefer if no referal sites or sites requiring credit card numbers be posted. Also I will post the Fraud Eliminator status, ip adress, e-mail adress of where your information is going and anything else useful. If anyone else wants to do the same, be my guest.

This is a great idea. Especially if we can keep an eye out for frauds and there is no credit card required.

I was having some trouble with the sphinx demo though. After I enter my address info and click continue it just gets stuck on a loading screen. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I need to adjust a browser setting or something. (using ie 6.0, don't have firefox yet...)

I did it 3 times to see if it would ever get any farther... I'll let you know if I get a few extra discs in 6 weeks or so (although I'm sure it's one per household anyway)

Same to me. By the way, the magazine thing, the EGM is an electronic email subscription, so no actual psysical magazine, but the CGW is the actual mag, just no disc. Still awesome! This thread is a really good idea.

Yeah, that's what surprised me about the Namco demo disc (the one with the Xenosaga 2 and Ace Combat 5 trailers, with a playable demo of Katamari). They actually sent it to Mexico.
In a white envelope, with a regular postal stamp.

Generally, no free anything gets shipped to Mexico.

I got my PlayStation and Computer Gaming World from that, the catch is it takes a LONG ASS TIME for them to get to you, the CGW doesn't have a disc, and the EGM is an electronic subscription, pretty much just PDF's. The OPM magazine was just like a regular subscription though.

Namco send their demos anywhere! I got Namco Transmission Vol.2 Demos and i signed up on the MotoGP4 that was on their newsletter e-mail.

Hope it arrives like the other one.

Tried age of empires and on my screen 1680x1050 it takes up like half the screen with the menu... couldnt stand playing it. Also wouldnt let you zoom out enough.

well guys, the ssx on tour demo is legit, i just as in just 30 seconds ago, my dad went to get the mail, and boom, there in a bubble wrapped package was the ps2 ssx ontour demo....free of charge, though its limited to 9500 copies i think...butt it does work!


havent played it yet, maybe later..but the cd slip art is cool....and the packaging had alot of electronic art written on it, and a sticker said it was for comercial demo use only...would that mean this is the disc all the retailers get?....

I did a psp one and got 4 of 6 requirements out of the way. You didn't even have to refer anyone. It was all you. However, I had a brush in with a company that steals money from people's accounts and two others never confirmed me...so I should have had my damn psp..I even have friends who got theirs

The fine print on the webpage for dragon quest said you would either get one or two slimes, depending on their size. If you got the big one, you probably won't be getting a second package.
