What mobile phone do you own? What is the feature you use most?
Here are the two phones that i own:
First off is the Nec E616
http://www.idg.se/ArticlePages/200310/10/20031010172530_CS/nec_e616_med3.jpg
It has capability of making video calls, mp3 player, 20mb-ish built in, memory stick slot, java games that are free to download but cost 50p to play, camera with flash, ULTRA QUICK LOSS OF BATTERY, NEXT TO NO BATTERY LIFE
Second is the Sagem my v-65:
http://www.vodafone.co.uk/vf/images/products/sagem_myv65_dviewmulti.gif
Dosent really do a lot to be honest, has a built in camera without a flash so its a bit pointless but the battery lasts for about a week!
So what do you have, what do you use it for bar calls?

Here's what I use now, a Nokia 3330:
http://itc.ua/img/dpk/2001/6/mobila9.jpg
Its battery life is *very* good, but sadly the transfer-money-via-WAP feature on my previous phone (see below) doesnt work anymore, even though i'm using the same SIM :smt019
One of the games is actually a side-scrolling shmup but I dont play it all that often.
Got the phone from a friend for a nice 20e btw :smt023
My previous phone:
http://in.yimg.com/i/in/mob/yahoomobile/20010904/3154255923.jpg
It was a nice phone with a very good user interface but the battery life went downhill fast, up to the point where I had 2 batteries, one that lasted for 10 min and the other one maybe 2 hours :snipe:

Samsung A300, I am about to get a 6600 as well. The one feature I use the most on my phone is the "charge" function, im lucky if I get a day and a half's life out of the battery.

Mine. It's a Nokia 3586. It's pretty simple for a cellphone with color screen. Anyway, i bought this model because it was cheap and has all functions i want.

I have no idea what my phone is....to be honest I never use it. My parents bought me it because I disapeared for almost 2 weeks without notifying them where I was....I stopped back occasionally to pick up clothes and whatnot and left a ntoe saying I was going out again.
Anywho, its some small thing by Alcatel and is about 2 years old now.

I use a 3 year old Sanyo phone for the now Vodafone Japan network (Was J-PHONE). It was cool back then but nothing great these days. Has all the normal features such as TFT colour screen, 16 Channel audio (SMAF - like a type of midi but with WAV samples. developed by Yamaha), full internet access, Email, Short mail, calculator, built in games by Capcom, crappy camera and loads of other pointless stuff.
I mostly use it for making telephone calls :Hangman: But I do love listening to thje 103 game music tracks storred in it's internal memory.

:smt043 Too right. The western phone market isn't as exciting as the Japanese one. Even panasonic's phones in the west are shite compared to their japanese ones. I want the latest Sharp phone (Runs on Vodafone network) for it's built in TV. !! You can watch TV on it anywhere or so they say.

Aparently there is a samsung phone out in the uk in two months time that allows you to watch and record tv (you can record 10 mins worth) It will be on the vodafone 3g network, my 3g phone is utter rubbish for content the internet access is how should i put it "Garden wall"?
It only lets you connect to the 3g site :smt017 There maybe a way of re-flashing the phone to allow net access though......im still investigating :smt023

Well here's a pic of my model of phone, the Nokia 3585i.
http://www.infosync.no/news/2002/11/20/gfx/nokia_3585i_01.jpg
It apparently used to be the base model of phone sold through my provider, US Cellular, until something like 2 weeks after I bought it, after which the base model became the nice 3586 that Johnny has. I got it because I didn't want to have to deal with the assholes in our landline phone company. So as a phone, it works. As a cell phone... I'm very disappointed both in the model of phone itself and my provider. The phone, despite supporting an on-phone ringtone composer and WAP browsing, has modified firmware that leaves these options out - I'm lucky to have the dinky games on this thing. Plus the US Cellular network is completely incompatable with anything else out there, meaning that I can only download ringtones from US Cellular, which are all shitty mono and mostly crappy renditions of horrible pop or rap songs. Oh, and did I mention that the alpha tag option was locked too? Yeah, no customizing MY phone, I had to carry it around with "US Cellular" on it the whole time. I finally got a service rep to get the service programming code so I could change it, and while I THOUGHT I swiped my phone's code to allow me to change my alpha tag at will, I guessed the bastards changed it again, because it no longer works. Anyone know how to hack out a 8585i's service programming code?
But as a simple phone, I guess thing's okay.

I have this:

Its prepaid. I dont have any minutes left so I just use it to play games when I'm at work. I really dont need a cellphone but I bought it just for emergency use, hence its prepaid minutes so that I can use them anytime and not get charged up the ass.

The second one acts as a belt clip type phone (it has a slot up the middle) so you can half of the phone in your pocket and the front overhanging, this is a great idea for those of you who go to clubs as your phone cant slip out of your pocket!! :smt023

I guess no there's some phones in the west that compare to the Asian ones.
This was my phone until about a week ago
http://www.vodafone.jp/makersvoice/J-SH51/index.html
MP3's, video, pics, email, net, MP3 (SD CARD), all that shit. I used almost none of it, and eventually dropped it on the concrete one day. All of my friends complained about the sound quality, so I picked up another. The phone above I got over a year ago for about 15,000 yen.

Yeah, they're pretty nice (and yes - cheap). Those prices were slightly discounted b/c I had been a J-Phone member for so long, but somewhere to the tune of a $40-$50 discount at most.
I'm going to miss my cool phone that does way too much. The US ones look all ghetto -- at least the ones my friends use.

i left the world of xda's and smartphones for the Nec E616e, and i must say its pretty cool.. only bad thing for me is not the battery life, but the fact you cant play mp3's and ring tones... i know thats a crappy thing to like in a phone... but it was sold to me as able to play them, and i had my heart set on 'live and learn' from Sonic Adventure 2 as my ring tone.. that or the Neon Genesis theme tune...
Anyone else got a 3 phone? just intrested to see how popular they are!

Nope, paid £40 which is a bargain really, and even if its a shit phone with crap coverage I can just use it as an MP3 player and buy a new cheapo phone.
Argos were asking £69.99 for it here, but I got mine off Amazon for £39.99
With a £15 top up you get 100 free minutes or 25 minutes and 100 texts per month (plus some cash left over for other crap like music video downloads and stuff) im not sure about free calls to same network.

I have the E616 as stated at the start of the thread, there are some new services that have started since then though. Sky sports news is one, and GAME REVIEWS with video clips is the other (i havent tried this myself yet as the only game i have seen is rally sport challenge 2)
I am selling this phone though due to its poor battery life, im upgrading to the LG8100??? I know its an LG but i cannot think of the number at the end.... However its also on 3 but is the same size as a normal phone, and has the same battery life as a normal phone too
I will hopefully getting it the weekend so i will post a report in this thread on its features etc :smt023
