Im curious, what differences does yours have over the final release, in the event that you've played it enough to know?

No idea. I really only played Halo 2. Wasn't a big Halo 1 player. I haven't compared the Halo1 beta to the released version. These betas all appear to be burned disks and not dvdrs or cdrs. They have inscriptions written in the hub ring. Some of these are numbered. #14 #12 etc.

I'm curious as well...
...Have you checked the signing of the disc's, are the Debug signed or Retail signed for instance?
...Do they run on a Retail console, or only on a Dev/Debug Kit?
I'm interested as they look more like the Promo launch title disc's rather than Beta stage Dev disc's.

I don't remember if these boot on a retail unit or debug. All the xbox systems I have here at the house are factory sealed so you guys need to give me a few days on this one.

Those discs that Buyatari posted run on debug consoles, but are otherwise the final submission code. If there is a difference, you're not going to notice it while playing. They are pressed discs (not burned as he claimed).

Err I meant to say they were pressed and not CDRs or DVDrs.

Thanks for the tip. I can stop looking for an Xbox unit.

Well there is always the possibility that the discs do vary slightly (as in they could be slightly off from the cert build) but as I said, you'll not notice it. I was never arsed enough to actually bother comparing any of them to the final retail on that close a level. For the any practical application though, these are the final code.

......The Alpha/Beta Xbox title build stages are usually pretty clearly defined. From my Xbox experience damn near everything that gets past Review is/can be signed off as Retail, it's only around the Preview build that things can get altered, and even that can be too late at times to get much done.

So seeing as those are only promo discs, what do you guys think those would be worth?
Judging from other sales of review/preview/promo games it wouldn't be a lot, but I know it depends on the title obviously.
