Earthworm Jim 2? WTF

I just bought Earthworm Jim 2 for the saturn pal version, and when I tried to play it on my us saturn (with Action Replay 4m Plus of course) the game starts up goes to the menu but when I start the game on the first level I see the earthworm jim sprite right in the beginning but then the earth worm jim sprite the health counter and bullet counter all disapear. I can move around but I cant see earthworm jim and when i press start to pause the game i see him again and then when I unpause it he becomes invisible. I see all the enemy sprites and power ups but no earthworm jim. The disc is in very good condition so I doubt its that. Does anyone know to fix this problem or is it cause its pal?

It sounds like PAL eatthworm Jim 2 doesn't like US machines. I have the JPN game which of course works fine on JPN machines even under a PAR.

Is that version actually better than the Super Nes version? Was it ever released for Super Fami?

I used to love that game and TV-Show.

Well, I know the Saturn version is far superior to the Genesis version. Much better, CD, audio, and about a bazillion layers of background. It's worth getting it just to pop into your CD player.

Dam I'm not going to get a PAL saturn, just to get converter for tv signal is a bitch oh well its going back to where it was spwaned from, Ebay.
