I got in the SOCOM III beta, and was wondering if anyone else did here...It would be neat to play sometime, if so.

Ah, not yet, as I haven't got the game. I should have clarified better. I got accepted into the beta, as well as 9,999 others, but the game hasn't come yet.

Socom US navy seals is a 3rd person online tactical team shooter tittle that is quite popular in america and europe.
don't play it in single player though.

it's the game that came with the headset, if you can remember. you can find the first one for a ridiculous price (9.99 can new around here) and the second for 19.99.

LoL, I like how you said "don't play it in single player," because it really is boring single player(SOCOM I and II). The developers know this now, and are making SOCOM III to where it would be just as fun to play offline as online. I'm looking forward to that, but mainly looking forward to online gameplay more ;)

I'm in.. disc supposed to come in 2 weeks..

was also in the SLAI and 25 To Life betas, wonder if the discs will have value.. ?

Well, they are online only? If yes, they'll have value as collectable, but not high prices, since you won't be able to play it after the beta stage servers go down.

Does the game use the BBunit?? By BB unit I mean the ps2 HDD, I know that Socom 2 did in japan as I downloaded extra levels myself with it.Pity they have shut down the japanese servers for Socom 2 in Japan.

Not sure if there will be extra levels or not by having the HDD for SOCOM III, but I know in America they also had exclusive online levels if one had the HDD for SOCOM II.

If you want to play SOCOM III, then yes, you will need a PS2 system. :)

Got my beta today. Aside from the lag and bugs, this will turn out to be a good game. 32 players total now 8-)
