What you think of my pick up today?

I got the guy to end it early and sell it for $145 shipped. It is the exact same model of the one the studio I work for has. The only thing is the REV are not the same number (what the NR software finds). Yet a friend i know from NOA does not believe there is much of a difference (and he knows this stuff quite well).

So if I was lucky. I might have a NR burner. :happyhap: :happyhap:

Nice. Just curious, can any mini-DVD be used, or are the blank NR disks actually a different format?

Nrs must be used. There is something a bit different on the NR disc then a normal DVD-r so the NR-Reader can reconise it.

...You can burn ANY mini-DVD on a NR-Writer IF you know what you are doing :smt045

To run on a NR or you mean just a general PC burn?

I'll second this. I'm hoping at some point to try Gamecube programming and this would give me another avenue for development hardware.

Well my lovely brown package showed up. Just need to get a NR disc to do a test burn but the nice thing (which makes me more believe it is a NR burner).

In the auction it says it comes with a special software disc. Well I just checked it out and its a cd full of gamecube/dolphin sdk, tools & prodg compiler.
