Hi, some of you will have seen me hanging aorund posting here and there (reading a lot more than I post, cos most of the stuff you talk about is waaaaaaaaay beyond me, but hey i learn by reading ). Anyways, i figured I would make my own post to see if anyone could help me with my "mission"

That's all the stuff I know of, your input is greatly appreciated .
For those thinking "this guy is nuts", yes, yes I am... it's just one of those things I want to do, I'm not even sure why, or if I'll even complete the collection before giving up, selling everything and starting a new "mission"... but for now, its my "thing" haha.
Thanks for those that took the time to read this, and thanks to those who took the time to reply. ^_^

Edits - Put the stuff people have pointed out I have missed in red
- If an item is in Grey I'm unsure if it should go on the list but I have put it there anyways :)

I have terrible news. Seriously
I found out from some ex nins, There is actualy a pice of hardware nobody will probably ever get. There was a version of the TDEV developed by IS wich pretty much nobody bought (much like TDEV but more then double the cost).
So unlike pokemon, there is no way your gonna catch them all!

I do not know if it falls within your requirements, but there is another memory card you don't have listed. Though I do not believe it differs from the standard card, Animal Crossing comes with a Memory Card 59 with a "Special Present on Card". The present is just an AC Memory Card sticker that has already been applied. As I said, I do not know if this falls within your requirements, but you didn't have it listed.

Wow, thanks for all the replies :D!! I've added the stuff you all mentioned up there in red :)
But to address some questions -
@GreatSaintLouis - indeed, here is a pic -> http://www.gamingheadlines.co.uk/screenshots/uploads/R4GCN-1.jpg <- I'd take a picture of mine, but I dont have a digital camera at the moment >_<!!
@Subbie - why must you rain on my parade ;_;.... But seriously, the DEV hardware is at the bottom of the list, and isn't "essential" it would just be nice to have them too to fully complete the set :)
@Samael64 - Are you refering to the Mem Card that comes with AC in the box? If so, I have it and can stick [got] next to it :)
@ImportOtaku - Leeds huh? That's not far from me, I'm NEAR (notice i said NEAR not IN) Blackpool... If you wake up one morning, and you've been robbed, and the only thing missing is your FF:CC Cube... I had NOTHING to do with it... haha. I saw one on Yahoo Auctions last week i think, but it was £400 >_<!! And I'm a tad money defficient at this moment in time >_<!!
@WanganRunner - If you do decide to do it and get any duplicate stuff (for example I have 6 purple pads) I'd trade with ya :D.
@Everyone else who took the time to post but havent given me a question to address in an individual nature. Thanks very much

04-27-2005, 06:26 PM
There's also a controller that was released in the US that is half Indigo, half clear.
Also, I think you should remove the Animal Crossing memory card from the list; it is in no way a special edition. It just happens to be a 59 block grey card, with a preapplied Animal Crossing label. The card comes preloaded with two NES games for use in your house upon starting a new game.

Don't give up, keep looking on yahoo you will eventually get lucky on a cheap ff cc cube i found mine for £150 but it was missing the box & the plastic covers that go on the bottom of the cube.
Luckily one of the spaces is filled with the gb player & another with the bb adapter so i just need to find a spare cover & some pearlescent white paint for the last cover (^_^)
Oh & its guarded buy a multitude of security devices ingluding a army of zelda figures hehe.

@Rabid Peanut-Butter - I can't beleive i forgot the Microphone >_<!!! I shall add it in a moment
I need to go to my other pc to add, as i have it all in a txt file (vBulletin tends to screw posts with bullet points up if you edit) ill edit the txt file, then repost :)
@The_Steadster - Is the Chainsaw official nintendo stuff? And ill add the Wavebird Emerald :D.
@GreatSaintLouis - I put that purple/clear one down as "Clear purple" on the original list, cos thats what it was named on Liksang (i think thats where i saw it). Regarding the AC card... I dunno which way to go with it, so ill grey it, and make Grey the "???" stuff :)
@ImportOtaku - I hope I can find one, otherwise I will have to brave the Zelda figures!! Although i fear I may be no match for them ;_;
On a side note, Im off to the land of the rising sun for a month in August, so hopefully I can track down some of the special stuff that was only released over there :). I'll leave with one suitcase, and come back with like 5 haha.

The present is on the card, as the package states...Why would it be in the game?
What special present are you talking about (the nes game)? I don't believe I have heard of it before, but there are a lot of hidden/special things in that game. I'm very interested to know if it is something new.

Surely you have the normal composite video cable - you know, the one that comes with the GCs? You really should get the proper SCART cable though - it's sooo much better! The official one's pretty hard to find though - it's only available by "special order" on Amazon.co.uk.
There's also an official s-video cable, and there's RF adaptors - but it'll be pain collecting them! There must be at least 4 RF adaptor variants - PAL-I (British Isles and South Africa), PAL-G (rest of Western Europe, except France), NTSC-M (N. America), PAL-M (Brazil and other countries around there), and possibly some others.
There is also an official composite video + mono audio cable, probably only available in Japan:

Thanks again for everyone posting, so much stuff that I missed :).
@The_Steadster - I've added the RE4 and Emerald Wavebird, I'll look into the Emerald to se if it was just your imagination hehe :)
I just realised there is a section that I have missed out... Prototype hardware... now I realise that this stuff will be very difficult to get.. but it can't be impossible as i've seen a picture of a prototype pad on these forums... What prototype hardware is out there?
I think its great that with everyones help a full list of Gamecube hardware can be compiled.. see this is what forums are about, so few these days have this sort of community that is willing to help each other out... I must say that you are all fantastic folk, and I'm really glad I found this forum :)

Do those packs have anything special about the actual cube? I was under the impression they just contain standard cubes, but also have a game included? - if so collecting them is not really what I'm after, cos its differences in hardware that I want. But thank you for pointing them out :-)
For example, the RES4 cube is two tone and has res4 on the top and on the pad.
They are regular cubes indeed.

Erm, you've got "Gamecube to GBA Connector" and "Nintendo Digital Video Cable" in there twice now for some reason. And as I said, you must have at least 11 stereo composite AV cables now! You also forgot the S-video cable - there's an official one available in Japan at least. By "Digital Video Cable", do you mean the Japanese D-terminal one, like this (http://images-jp.amazon.com/images/P/B00005QDJT.09.LZZZZZZZ.jpg)?
And it's "RGB" not "RBG" ^_^
I'm not sure if there's a PAL-M RF modulator, but there probably is. Anyone from Brazil know? Then again all these except the PAL-I ones will be totally useless to you - unless you like playing games with no sound or no colour!
There's also possibly different types of modems for different regions - or are they all the same?
Also, are the AC adaptors the same worldwide? Sorry, I only know about the boring stuff! ^_^

They were some of the ones that are missing the digital out
Yeah, I contacted Nintendo about that for my older brother. It seems less than one-percent of all Gamecube users actually use the Digital Out.
Here is the original message:
It may interest you to know that all newly-manufactured models of the Nintendo GameCube system no longer feature the digital A/V out port (where the component video cable connected) and the nameplate on top of the system is no longer be detachable.
We opted to remove the digital A/V out port from the system because we found that less than one percent of all Nintendo GameCube players used this feature. As for the name plate, there isn't a purpose to removing this part from the system, so this part will no longer be removable on future Nintendo GameCube consoles.
Some people have been concerned that we will stop supporting progressive scan in our games because of this change. About one-third of licensee titles and over 90% of first-party titles currently have the progressive scan feature. We expect that most Nintendo first-party titles will continue to support progressive scan. Each licensee will continue to make the decision of whether or not to include this feature in their future games.
Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.

That card is nifty, I'd almost buy Pokemon Box - whatever that is - just to get it. Too bad it's a 59 block though. You can't really do much without a 251 anymore, if not one of the super-duper white ones that I forget the size of.
That RE4 Gamecube is pretty disappointing though - I was expecting something more along the lines of that awesome Gundam special edition. :(

Hi, yeh, it's a very useful piece of kit, especially if you are trying to develop something that you need to 'force' into a problem, via a real world simple scenario.
It has a standard Mem card interface that you can plug into any GC, be that retail or Dev.
...Off this is a control box which has 8 dip switches on it, although only 5 actually need to function! (I have a couple of PPT slide's that shows the different combinations to use).
...It's purpose is to 'emulate' every type of program error, save error and erase error imagineable.
It does this with style :)

Is the green debug not intended for stuff like that? Or does it generate errors purely at random? And for one, I'd like to know a way to access the MC *at all* without resorting to Psy-Q or whatever...

The 'green' Debug isn't meant to 'generate' error's it's for finding them.
...The Memory Card Emulator is used to 'generate' (More correctly emulate) specific error's as per what the user programmes in with the dip switches.
...Like I said before I have a couple of user charts which show the dip settings, so it's all user specific randomness if that makes sense!!!

And, even more important, Heineken beers sucks! =)
Now, if it was a LE Stella GameCube... :]

Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but my girlfriend recently bought Animal crossing, and the memory card that came with it was half black half clearish red. Does anyone know anything about this? It's driving me crazy.

Can't say anything about your memory card, man. Might be a 3rd party card if the game was used.
But I do want to say that this

just seems like a really bad idea. I mean, every time you tried to drink from one of the bottles, the other one would just pour out all over your shoulder. I must admit, though, that's just the sort of lame thing some Heineken drinkin' dorm boy would do.

One for you, one for your mate. They just have to be sitting by your shoulder.

Tell me those beer bottles aren't photoshopped in there, eh?
