Great for Forgery!!

Real signatures. Not the final contract. I have a 3 page document from a later date. It appears it was updated more than once. Kind of like a letter of intent. I'm not a legal expert but I'm told with a deal like this papers are signed at each step and given to both parties. Still a nice collectors item and NOT A FORGERY.

Here a picture of one of the letters sent from their lawer. Sorry no scanner. I have more letters back and forth from this deal. If you need more proof just let me know.

This was on eBay for some time. I wonder when will somebody buy it and when will somebody explain what is it ?

After having a good look at the auction I have a probable answer. It looks like it was used to debug the DreamKara karaoke add-on during production. Those boards with the audio jacks could very well be preproduction/prototype boards ;) Also I think dori = dream and kara , well short for karaoke so it could easily come back as DreamKara checker #3. I'm actually quite tempted to buy it now, but if I do I'd have to watch my spending -_-

Its missing the DCC board, which I think is a vital component in the development process.

I've been watching that auction for a while. The N64dd Dev is missing the DCC board. But luckily I have that already. I am trying to get ahold of him to see if he's sell the IPLRom cart and the software seperately (maybe the partner 64 as well). That seems like a lot of money for only part of a development kit. It also looks to be missing the N64Joint. Don't ask me what it does but I have one. I was hoping it was the IPL Rom cart but it isn't.

Eh, that auction screams "Profit Whore."

And yes, that is an excessive price for the demo disc.

My guess is that he just assumed because it said "Lunar" on it, it was worth mad cash.

I'd be interested in SCPH-5500/7000 if they were complete in the original box (with instructions), but I'm sure shipping to USA would be so expensive.

I remember that issue. They had a limited quantinty and my best friend whos a huge zelda 64 fan wanted to buy one but they were already sold out. I think they were selling for $50, around that price I believe, back then.

I saw that Tetris pirate cart the other day. It's funny the way he's trying to sell it off as a proto :p It may be worth getting though if only for the Famicom to NES converter inside it.

Well, it may just be the backside...strange indeed: there is no writing so it looks like the backside (no nintendo, tkeprom and so on...)

gaming247
09-17-2005, 06:06 AM
I agree I think it is just the backside of the board. Looking at the case, near the top, that would put the little grip-notch on the left side as you are facing the cart, which is correct. If that made any sense. The chips face the label for nes, right? I haven't opened one in a while.

However, I did remember seeing that exact same pic in another auction. And sure enough from the same seller, in item number 8216512820 bubble bobble - part 2 "demo version" he (or she) included that as a pic of the inside.

At first I thought maybe the boards were just the same (in layout, design, etc.) but if you look at the inside of open case you can see what appears to be tape residue marks. Which are also exactly the same in both pics.

But it could just be a pic mixup or something, who knows. I don't have the cash for it either way.

nope you're not even in the same ballpark and it ended at a fair if really low price actually. You can count the number of times the m8 ever on ebay on one hand. M82 cartridge unit is basically available to the small group who're lookin for it and willing to wait long enough with the $400 it costs after shipping. Whoever won consider yourself a lucky duck seeing as how it came with the freaking box and all. Also M8 is black box NES games.

Chill mate. I meant it in a jocular way, a colloquial turn of phrase if you choose.

That said though he does paint himself as a collector. And even the most cursory internet search would reveal that it is by no means the rarest saturn game there is. In fact, to suggest so about such a well know game franchise is frankly a) silly b) laughable c) bordering on dishonest.

Good luck with the sale though, post up your linkies:)

An interesting item. It's what seems to be a regular old TV/DVD combo that Nintendo stuck their name on. Although, it's rare, and official, so here's the heads up. Not as cool as the official TV with the NES built in, but I'm sure plenty of you will want it for your game room...

It's from the same seller who had the GB/SNES/NES protos on the past week (of which I won the Ghostbusters GB proto :))

The controller *looks* like a standard CGB, though it's lighter than one as it'll be missing its guts. Basically the controller has an LCD screen, speaker and buttons, but that's it. It'll connect to the unit you've got via the ribbon cable at the front. One end of the cable plugs into the unit (as shown) the other end plugs into the controller.

Incidentally, there are also versions of the Wide Boy with controller plugs (resembles an IDE plug) on the front. These Wide Boys can be controlled via the N64 controller -or- with a CGB controller.

Well, all the games that the auction lists as being on the cart are color games...but the seller is probably going by the box...which I tend to not trust on pirate crap. I'm just surprised that I've never seen one of those before. Had no clue they existed...

The cartridge slot it for writing the flash carts. I've got the IS-DEBUGGER, and it does require the GBC with the cartridge adaptor. The GBC also is modified to have it's clock lines sent to the unit so you can pause/step though when debugging. It can also be used with the wideboys, which I have seen with the clockline modification.

The seller of that DC dev kit says we can pick it up locally in NJ. Do you think Assembler could pick it up for me and send it if I win? I'd rather have Assembler send it since I trust him.

Oh the irony :smt043

Backup your save data on to floppy. They're not PC Formatted though. You can essentially only store them on floppies. :(

I bid on the gates 360 (outbid) and the NOA tour for six (high bid)

If anyone wants to chip in for the NOA tour, it should be cheap, it's for six people, so
who wants in?

One of us runs around breaking things as the "smokescreen' while the rest of us stuff out pockets with nr discs.

These types of tours and packages for 6 usually get picked up by some rich guy looking to appease his spoiled son for a birthday party or businessmen who have clients they need to entertain. I bet this will go for big bucks. I'd guess around $6,000 for the ending bid.
