Reviving this thread due to a refreshed need for a
Dreamcast controller board or two among other things.

I would also like to buy a dreamcast power supply or two, not fussed about the region particularly

The top half of a dreamcast shell, as in the big plastic top half of the console's case

I also need the controller ports from a fat PS2 - for a scph-39003 (I don't know if the model has any bearing on the way the controller ports are made so if somebody could confirm that they are or are not that would be great:)

I would prefer to only pay UK shipping but I'm willing to negotiate.

PM or post here with offers :)

I could probably sort some out from systems with broken gdrom drives, you got anything for trade?.

I'm terrible at suggesting things for trades haha is there anything you're particularly after?

Top of the want list is a pcb from a model 1 mega-cd but I am always after old consoles, cables, controllers, various parts etc. What you got?. :)

None of this is particularly relevant anymore

I have a good controller board and power board from a revision 0 USA dreamcast (internals are like the 1998 jpn dreamcast with the metal fan/heatsinks). The entire console itself actually still works, but has some things wrong with it that mean I can't just sell it as a 100% working DC. Namely:

-GDrom drive spindle is partially broken and has to be treated a certain way to hold disc correctly
-top half of case had holes drilled into it for LEDs
-metal fan and heat sinks have been completely removed. Console has no fan, but didn't overheat when I played a game on it for an hour straight, perhaps due to extra holes drilled into the casing for increased airflow.

At any rate, I could trade you some parts from it for the ascii pad if you still have it. Shipping would be from the US.
Could you explain what you mean by a loose dpad? Also, is it the white one?

I'm afraid I sold the ascii pad a long time ago, I've edited the post further up accordingly
From abroad I'd rather just pay money to be honest I've never had much luck with international postage anywhere before sorry.

if you're still interested, I'm particularly keen on the power supply
Also does the controller board have the same motherboard connector as a va1 system?

The controller board is green instead of brown like some of the others. It says "Katana sub bd" "(C) sega 1998" on it. The ribbon cable connecting to the motherboard looks like the same one used on later boards, although I haven't swapped it into a rev1 console to definitively test. It is definitely a different earlier revision than the majority of controller boards out there, but my guess would be it could be compatible with rev1. At any rate, it would probably be a suitable spare for circa 1998 jpn DCs.

Oh I remember what was different! the fan connector is only two pins rather than three isn't it?
I might just leave that one for now if its alright with you? I am definitely interested in the power supply though, I managed to fry the power supply in my VA0 and am keen to replace it. I might be interested in the broken GD rom drive too but I am limited in the way of funds and this is starting to sound kinda heavy lol

That's fine. I think I'm going to try and sell the entire console on ebay. Piecing out just the power board would probably make it difficult to offload the remaining parts. I'm interested in getting the whole thing out of my house.
