Hello folks, just wanted to (belatedly) announce my game boy game/save dumper.

If you have a 64drive and a transfer pak for your 64, then you're set. No funky imported hardware requirements!

Get the full details at the agbd gameboy dumper (http://lacklustre.net/n64/agbd/) page.

Also included: instructions for dumping your GB Camera pics.

This is amazing! Thank you so much! Out of curiosity, would it be possible to add CF support? I have no problems using microSD, but I use CF as my main card.

The CF issue is mostly out of my hands, and as far as I know it only affects older/slower cards. If you've got a fast recent CF, give it a shot. Just make plenty of backups and run chkdsk/fsck.vfat regularly.

This is awesome. I see you programmed it for Midwest Gaming Classic and how was it this year since I couldn't due to unexpected reasons:sorrow:

Any chance for a compatibility with the Mr. Backup Z64? I tried it with my Z64 but it crashed....

Any chance for a compatibility with the Mr. Backup Z64? I tried it with my Z64 but it crashed.... Hm, crashing is bad. I'll add some code that detects 64drive. Z64 support is a "probably no". I don't have one, and I'm not sure if it's possible to write data to the zip disk from software. If someone would like to lend me one I suppose I could check it out.

any chance for an everdrive version?

edit: I don't really know if 64drive provides extended api functions that the everdrive lacks, if so maybe you could fake save support and let the user specify a chunk of gb rom to dump into save space, which could be retrieved when the ED writes the save back to sd on reboot

Any chance you could make this for PCs with the N64 Adaptoid USB controller adapter? I suggested this to the author a long time ago but he never did it. He did make a Controller Pak memory manager and I recall a DexDrive save converter

The Adaptoid is WAY better than the other controller adapters because it has an API that allows direct communication in emulators. This means no axis conversion (circular range, square range, circular range again) that makes certain games hard to play (magic-less sword spin in Ocarina of Time, Karts spinning out for no reason in Mario Kart 64, etc) and use of REAL accessories with the emulated games (like the Microphone Pak, Bio Clip, GB Transfer Pak, etc). It's a shame that Nintendo got their own Virtual Console emulator wrong (doesn't restrict thumbstick range which causes issues with Mario Kart).

I actually wanted to see a function that used the GB Transfer Pak with Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble to add motion sensitivity. :(

I'd be happy to research this and implement it if possible if someone lends me the hardware.

Same question. Would it work with the Everdrive 64?

I would like to digitally store my small grainy pictures from my GB Camera somewhere

you can buy a mega memory card (about 20$) and a EMS 64 MB gb flash cart (40$) to backup your pics. i went that route to backup my gb saves before changing the battery in them.

If you go this route, be sure to check out my Mac OS X and Linux ems-flasher (http://lacklustre.net/projects/ems-flasher/) software for dumping your saves.

Ok. Now That I think of it, I could just hook up my GB player to an old DVR box I have and burn them to a disk. Then transfer them from video to pictures.

cool. do you know about Mottzilla's multi-save ems flasher menu? you can port it to linux and mac os x too. as he wrote the menu himself, no copyright problems too.

Yep he's contacted me directly about it. It's on the list.
