Became official Photographer of my city's Soccer Team! It's in italian Lega Pro div 1 (it would be the second division in england) and for the first time i was allowed on the field's borders along with the other pros. I do earn 0$ but i get to see the match for free, get free tickets for friends, and keep the possession of all the pics i take (in case i get asked for some by newspapers). I was chose because they loved the quality of my shots i took from the grandstand...

now a little show :)

What camera are you using? Exceptional quality, and I like the out of focus background. You must have a nice lens for that.

Your photographs are exceptional, apparently you have great skill and experience! Probably good equipment too, and you how to operate it. Congrats to getting this position! :)

By the way, they should really pay you at least with a cheeseburger and a cup of orange juice :) I wouldn't want to risk losing someone talented like you. Seriously, you show it with your photos.

Can you tell me what type if setting you used to take action shots like that without any motion blur. I have problems getting the right type of settings when it comes to fast action photography.

Thanks

Yakumo

My equipment is my weak point actually! i have an ancient canon 350D and as lens the stock 18-55 (sucks) a very cheap but very good sigma 70-300mm (it costs ņess than 200euros for very good quality and great anti-reflexes coating).

I shot them at 1/400 up to 1/1000. Priority set to Aperture though to be sure to get the player all in focus

No editing beside a noise reduction (my 350d is AWFULLY noisy even at 100 iso T_T) and white balancement retouches. A couple a lil green adjustement for the picth. The best pictures are always unedited. :)

Any other questions? :)

Thanks for the setting tips. I'll give them a try once I get back from this company trip. I hope to be home tomorrow.

remember that it all depends on the kind of sport you're going to picture and how big the lenses you'll use too! Ask if you need help :)
