Help dumping a 32x cart

Hi everyone!

Today at the flea market I found a DOOM 32x cart, pity my 32x addon is still in the hands of the postal system so I can't test if it works.
I usually try to dump all the carts I buy so i can legally play my games in emulators: for the Mega Drive carts I use a Mega Cd with the transfer cable, this tool (http://www.retrodev.com/transfer.html) and Ucon64. Is this setup ok for dumping 32x games too?
Do I need the 32x addon plugged in the megadrive or can I fit the 32x cart in the console (with the console top lid removed) and dump it that way?

In the end I simply tried and everything went fine, my european Doom 32x cart got dumped and works :-)

Hmmm.. dumb question, but did you just have the 32x console sitting in the Mega Drive with no cords attached, or did you actually have it properly hooked up with the AC adapter and video cables, etc?

I had NO 32x at all (mine is still in the hands of the postal system).
I removed the cart shell, taped over the B32 pin, inserted the bare cart pcb in the megadrive and used THIS (http://www.retrodev.com/transfer.html) to dump the rom.

Ucon64 reported the correct checksum, and the game works fine in kega fusion :-)
