Im so ready for this game! Good news, im getting a mitsu 55in hi-def set this week and Gt4 has 1080i display! :smt045

You mean to say that GT4 has pseudo 1080i display. The PS2 doesn't have the framebuffer to handle true 1080i.

I'm still waiting for my Japanese copy, and i'll buy the American version too.

After doing 100% on GT3, and having a blast on GTC: Tokyo and GT4: Prologue, i need more GT :smt023

You mean to say that GT4 has pseudo 1080i display. The PS2 doesn't have the framebuffer to handle true 1080i.

Top of that, if the 1080i was made from software it would require +-4 times more calculation to draw all (assuming the game is +-30fps, this would have dropped to 10fps without any problem)... No doubt it's a commercial fake.

I hope its like GT2 where tehy have a shitload of cars.

The Japanese version have 735 cars, plus they are adding 15 cars to the PAL and probably to the NTSC|U/C too.

yeah i had heard it wasnt possible from another boad, im not as informed as you guys, i did see some side by side shots of 420p and 1080i and it did look a bit better

Surely the game runs at 60fps, not 30, like GT3? I'm not bothered about the HDTV option anyway - I'll be playing it on a 14" anyway! :smt023

Just hope to God the PAL version has a 60Hz option - speed *kinda* matters with racing games...
