Are there any known locations where games and game hardware are properly preserved for archival purposes, such as a museum/gallery dedicated to games? Perhaps even put on display for exhibition? There are places such as the MADE (https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Museum-of-Art-and-Digital-Entertainment/151525434925109) and I think Stanford University has one of the US's largest collections of gaming hardware and software, but does anyone know of similar places dedicated to the notion of preserving gaming history?

Are probably the two most well known, the former travelling the world, the latter being part of the museum of play.

There is the National Media Museum in Bradford, typically it's only really had video forms of media, but a few years back it made a video game section, perhaps it now preserves video games?
