Am I missing something about the Everdrive MD?

So I just got mine in today and I am trying to play Golden Axe III and it keeps telling me I am not the right region. I waited for this to evolve before buying one for reasons's like this as I hate using my Game Genie to play a lot of my Megadrive games. Also I can't get other games like Super Street Fighter 2 to boot as I see the "Made by Sega" screen but then just hangs on a red screen. Keep in mind I am using no codes on this game.

My PCB is 2.4 so it has the Megakey but is always shows as "off" and the guide isn't very informative really. And yes I am using only the latest Good sets of SMS and Genesis ROM's, and I am using the parent ROM's not hacks or anything like that just clean regular ROM's as I like the most authentic feel I can get. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Also I am a little unclear about updating the cart, is there more documentation on this subject somewhere? Also NO SDHC cards work but an old arse 1gb SD works fine, the cart simply will not detect the other card at all.

Now this is from the main page but I can't get a few out of region games working, Super Street Fighter 2 regardless of the region and my 4/16gb SDHC cards aren't detected. Any info would be great guys.

Sorry I am using a Model 1 Sega Genesis with no 32x and I have my Sega CD detached ATM as my brother is borrowing it to finish Vay he saw me playing last week and for hooked so it is just a normal official Sega Genesis but not he "High Def Graphics" one the a little later revision but before the new model 2 system.

Well SDHC is not going to work on an ED-MD with OS23. You will need to upgrade to latest OS. You can download latest OS here (v29):

Just put this file on your "old arse" SD card go to Tools menu and do Update OS. Select this file and confirm. Once complete it should read "OS29" in corner. You can now use your SDHC card.

If you can't get Megakey to work, patches exist to get around regional lockouts.

some people say that megakey does not work, but i don't know why. may be they do something wrong or may be they used some modded system or may be megakey really does not work on some sytems. i have many diferent genesis and megadrive system and megakey works evrywhere, so i can't say why is that happen, untill i will not be able to reproduce such problem

Do you have someone you know with Genesis? I would first try it on there and see if it still does not work. If it does not then we will have you send back for possible replacement.

You know... I think I get something of this sort also. Megakey displays as OFF for both my CDX and TMSS Genesis 1. Sailor Moon stops at the game's warning on either system unpatched with no GG codes entered. Haven't tried those workarounds yet.
