I'm looking for an Nintendo 64 that can play PAL games as well as US games (and preferably Japanese NTSC games). If no one has one of these, then I can settle for a PAL only N64.

I am also looking for these games:

Rakugakids (N64)
Gunstar Heroes (MD)
Dynamite Headdy (GEN)

All of them must be complete. Also, the Gunstar Heroes must be the Japanese Mega Drive version, and Dynamite Headdy being the American Genesis version. Rakugakids can be either Japanese or PAL, it doesn't matter. Nobody probably wants to sell these or can't find these, but hey, it's worth a shot.

I am also looking for a Genesis/Megadrive that can play all imports, regardless of region.

And a Final Fantasy (NES) box...I have everything but the box. I really want the box for it. :smt022

*sigh* :smt009 you can't mod an N64 to be all-in-one, no. Furthermore, don't forget that PAL N64s aren't RGB, so you'll need a TV that accepts PAL composite or s-video if you are in an NTSC region.

That, or get one of those passport jobbies that lets you play PAL games on an NTSC machine :smt023

Oh, and I'm sure everyone saw this coming from me... hehe....

TO NEW USERS (especially those wishing to sell or buy)

1. update your profile so it says your location. This will greatly aid someone who wants to buy from / sell to you (e.g. better idea of postage costs / whether the item is PAL/NTSC)

2. go to the "Off Topic" forum. Go to the "Sticky: Introduce Yourself !" thread. Introduce yourself in there (follow everyone else's lead regarding what to put).

Would appreciate it if you'd consider that - it would make it easier to give you a price and let you know if shipping would be a killer.

I may well have a spare Megadrive I could mod for you, but I'm in the UK so again postage etc... and the dollar's weak rate if that affects you. Do you mind if its a Megadrive or Megadrive 2? Do you need the serial port?

Thanks, will do. Hmm...does anyone have a US/Japan converter then, that will play PAL games on any of those systems?

The reviews on Lik-sang aren't too reassuring...all of the units seem to have broken down in a month or something... :angry

i dunno since mine's never used - i have no n64.

at leaset lik-sang will replace it with new unit, i had my saturn arp4-1+ replaced twice before I got the good one that has been perfect for last two years... not sure about those cases but if the unit stopped working after few weeks lik-sang should erplace it under RMA.

no, you can mod your n64 for PAL and NTSC but for this you need to kill an PAL or NTSC N64 so it makes no sense at all ;)

I ahve a Passport 3 Plus. I don't use it a great deal, but i haven't had many problems with it. However, one problem you may well encounter is that i believe that it will play Pal games in the rarely used NTSC-50, which few TV's support. This could well be a problem for you, however I'm not certain that it will do this not having tested it with a pal game on a NTSC N64

How much do you want for it? Include shipping shipping to the U.S.

Dont really want to sell the passport plus. The genesis/Megadrive can be very easily modded - and not all games need it.

The mod involves soldering 6 wires to 2 switches, and is very simple, At least it was on my megadrive 1 - took less than 1hr.

The mod creates 2 switches - one for the speed (50/60Hz) and one for the language (JP/Eng). You then adjust the switches as so:
50Hz/Eng = EU/Aus (Pal)
60Hz/Eng = US
60Hz/JP = Japan
Not sure if 50Hz/Jp is used for any region
