Summer's coming up, games are being released, and I haven't landed a job yet, so it's time to hawk some extraneous stuff. I'm shipping from the US just to let people know.
Magnavox Odyssey^2 Boxed and semi-complete. I got the thing at a local thrift store, and the box is rather battered with some packing tape around it, but the unit as far as I can tell is fine, with the exception of one of the joysticks going out of whack. I say as far as I can tell because I haven't been able to test the thing on account of it missing its little R/F switch dealie. In the box is the game "Showdown in 2100 AD" and manuals for this game as well as a ton of others (no manual for the console, however). I'm honestly not sure of the value of this thing - for all I know (and expect) it could be complete junk, and being boxed, it will probably cost more to ship than I got it for. Nevertheless, I'm sure there's some hardcore collector out there who would like to mess with it, so please, make me a fair offer, although with its condition I'd highly encourage just a trade of some sort.
Playstation 2 Linux Kit Yes indeed, this is it folks - the 'Yaroze 2'. I got it when it first came out but got rather disillusioned and uninspired when I messed with it and found that the programs you could make were limited to be run only on the PS2 Linux platform. That said, this kit is complete - 40GB HDD, keyboard, mouse, PS2 Linux DVDs, Network Adaptor (interesting model with no phone jack, just ethernet), and PS2->VGA cable, all in the original shipping carton, no less. Everything still has its original packaging EXCEPT the monitor cable, and everything is in used but very, very nice conditon. Hard Drive is formatted for use on a standard NTSC television (awful resolution tho) because my monitor didn't work with it.
A few notes on this item: First and foremost, someone else has already expressed interest in this item, but I have not heard from him in a while, and REALLY need to sell it. If he gets back to me in the next week or so, it's his, but if not it goes to whomever is interested. Also, you'll need 6MB of an 8MB memory card to install the startup files for this kit. PLEASE NOTE, the VGA cable only works with monitors supporting some obscure "sync-on-green" technology, which explains why the kit is set up for TV output. I'm just warning you ahead of time.
Ideally, I'd like $200 with shipping (and it will be packed very, very carefully) but I'm willing to work with a partial trade (~$100 cash plus other goods) or straight across for a Nintendo 64DD (it's worth a try...)
PAL Jaguar This isn't so much a sale as it is a trade - I'd like to trade this Jag for an NTSC unit straight across, no controllers or hookups involved. I have modified the console to output in 60Hz, by the way.
Also, not too terribly console related, but I have a stack of Power Macintoshes with no hard drives or ram, and about 4 or so 100MB Iomega Zip drives (IDE), tested and working, with blue faceplates if anyone is interested - make me an offer.
As far as stuff I'll take in trade goes, I'm interested in Turbografx/PC Engine, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and Gameboy Advance mainly, but let me know what you have if there's an item here you absolutely NEED. Pictures available on request courtesy of my crappy Palm camera.
