Any ideas? :)

Final Fantasy 5 with the translation patch? If so, the internal rom info is likely still claiming the game is 16mbit when infact the translation expanded it to 24mbit. EverDrive may rely on this information to be valid (other copiers do) and so it black screens when it trys to access ROM that isn't there.
Terranigma requires a patch. UCON64 might be able to patch it. I have a patched version around so it's out there.

How could I go about changing that description so it reads it properly?

Easily. Goto $FFD7 in a hex editor in the file. You should see the value $0B. Change it to $0C. If you do not see that value, check the start of the file for a whole bunch of $00 bytes. If from $0000 to $01FF is mostly zeroes that means there is a copier header. So instead goto $101D7 and check for $0B to change to $0C.
Let us know if it works after that. If you cannot make this change on your own let me know and I'll try to help you with that.
For Terranigma (E), with no header, goto $797CC and you should see $89. Change to $A9. It will now run on NTSC systems.

Thank you! :)
They both work, you've been a major help...thanks again! :D

Thanks Mottz !
i tried my rom for Terranigma and it didn't work on my SNES. (from another thread)
and now work like a charm.
Seems like the game is optimized to run even in 60hz.
I didn't notice any problem with audio and music.
hey would you take a look into some BS games too ?(from the Shubibinman thread)

I would but I don't own a Super EverDrive. So it's hard to guess what the problem is.
But here is one thing to try, please report if it works or not.
Open BS Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero (J) in your hex editor. Verify that it doesn't have a 512byte copier header. Goto $FFD5. Write these values: $31,$00,$0A,$00. Save and try loading it on the Super EverDrive.

No wait.
If you look at the Shubibinman thread i already managed to get it work by changing the rom size.
I was referring to the others BS's

You'll have to be specific. There are a ton of BS-X roms. Any fix is going to be goto to the imbedded info sector and fixing (or overwriting) data with what is needed to load the game. If that doesn't fix it, and it doesn't run on older emulators that don't try to run BS games differently than regular cartridges, then it may of other problems that would need specific hacking.

you 're right,
so
narrowing it down to just two games
would you look just into Out of Bounds and Sutte hakkun 2?

I thought the Out of Bounds Golf had already been fixed for SED or PowerPAK?
Out of Bounds is LoROM so you goto the $7FFF area to change the type to LoROM and the size to 8 megabits and it should work. For Sutte it's HiROM so you goto the $FFFF area to change it.
For Sutte goto $FFD5 and put in $31,$01,$0A,$03
For Golf goto $7FD5 and put in $30,$01,$0A,$03
Tell us if that works.

Yeah they works ^_^ ! thank you very much.
i wasn't sure if the correct thing to do was to change the sequence values or just start form 00ffd5 (or 007fd5) and add the values you suggest'd, that way the existing value moved to the right...

just Sutte Hakkun has something wrong.
There's a strange score for each save and when you go to the map you can obv choose level 1 - 2 or 3 and the practice but can't jump in.. whatever button you press
actually it's unplayable. O_O
Edit: tried in bsnes and it has the same behaviour

BS-X roms often behave incorrectly because you are playing them without the BS-X hardware or without the PSRAM some games stored data in. BS-Zelda didn't behave well initially but after much interest in getting it to work it was hacked to work quite well.

it needs some extra hacking job to work properly, i guess
there's no way to use the buttons so must be something heavy
at least i saw the title screen :-/

The game had a version related on cartridge in Japan that works just fine. Have you played that?

I own both.
The normal release (which is the NP version without the tutorial if i remember correctly)
and this particular BS version.
Both cleared. (i played trough the BS version and except for the BS-X adapter it doesn't need the satella attached to the system)
that was just to not take the games from the shelf if i wanted to play 'em again. (yeah i'm a freak é_é)
if i'd own Shubibinman i won't play it for sure in any case. O_______O

Sorry to get this thread up again, but I just found this on google so I deemed it unnecessary to open another one...
As you, MottZilla, described, you can change the headers of Games to make them playable on the Everdrive. I have encountered Problems with BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 Dai-1-Shuu and Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie. Both of them just give me a black screen after booting them and I was hoping to maybe change the header to make it work then, perhaps you (or someone else with the knowledge) can help?

IPS Patches to do editing of Header info of ROM Size.

Yeah we could also use a list of PAL titles that block 60hz. Unless everdrive gets around that part? The lockout chip alone will not make those run, as my SNES import adapter (which I plan to sell) can attest.

UCON64 can attempt to disable regional (PAL/NTSC) lockouts.

SNESTool is the tool for that. No Hex Editing or having to put up with the rubbish of attempting to get UCon64 working which is a hard feat for my computer to get working at all even with the frontend.
We definitely need this for BS-X on Nintendo's side for Everdrive and Powerpack and we definitely need it for SEGA which doesn't have a tool for multiregion conversions other than the UCon64 which is a big con for my system as in it doesn't work and keeps asking for a file which my Vista system doesn't have to get it started which is impossible to find a download online for.

I have Vista and UCON64 works fine.
Would be nice to get a header fix for an non modded version of BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 - Dai-1-shuu (Japan).sfc as that is one of the major ones to have.
We currently only have a fix to a heavily modded F2 NonGoodSNES released only version but getting the header fixed to an untouched No-Intro or GoodSNES version from the original sources would be way better I think.
No-Intro Good Dump #7FC 0 - 16 Header
42 53 46 2D 5A 45 52 4F-32 CC DF D7 B8 C3 A8 BD
GoodSNES Good Dump #7FC 0 - 16 Header
42 53 46 2D 5A 45 52 4F-32 CC DF D7 B8 C3 A8 BD
Yep, they are both the same coding in this case so lets see what we can do with it to get an almost untouched working version rather than having to used the heavily modded NonGood version.

Does anyone know what value to modify on the (U) Earthbound rom to allow gameplay on a PAL console?

Use the UCON64 -f or Region Fix option. Or get a version already cracked.
