Has anyone here ever used unity, and then ported it to another platform such as the wii, 360 or ps3?

No but I have used Unity a lot.

Why are you asking?

Why are you asking?

Because I would Like to work on a project and be able to expand it very easily to other platforms, and wanted to hear and know what other members thought of unity

Apologies if you've already seen it.

From what I gather...it's relatively simple.

I build my Unity programs in their native form and then port them to iPhone. A bit of texture tweaking and some iOS touch control code and it's usually fine.

I would imagine consoles would be easier as you have less hardware limitations.

That requires you to be an authorized PS3 or XBox 360 developer before you can make use of it. It also only covers just those two consoles.

Would anyone have advice once the game is completed on pc, getting the correct liscenes to port it to ps3 or xbox 360?

Unreal Engine and CryEngine. Considering that Unity targets a pretty different demographic of developer I'm not really sure why he's comparing them.

Has anyone here ever used engines for sale (http://www.enginestransmissions.com) and rebuilt transmissions (http://www.enginestransmissions.com) unity, and then ported it to another platform such as the wii, 360 or ps3?
