Installing switch on cd motor in saturn

Has anyone done this? It would eliminate wear on the drive by turning the disc motor off while swapping, you could wire it through a switch thats always on but off when pressed.

I haven't done this, but it should be pretty simple. Just add a normally closed switch in the 5 volt line for the motor.
