I'm currently waiting to receive my Everdrive and I was looking at what I could use for the casing. I own 2 Sonic & Knuckles cart, one that is not working.

Anyone know if I could use the Sonic & Knuckles shell to put the Everdrive in? I'm thinking that the flip on top would be ideal to close and protect the SD card without having to modify anything.

Nice, very sweet. I'll definitely do that. It must be the best shell to use then since it requires zero modification and protects the SD card.

Just can't wait to receive it. Anyone knows what sort of shipping time should I expect from Ukraine to Montreal, Canada?

Hey Genetik :p

Looks like he'll be shipping at least of couple of these to MTL.

I got mine, it's very sweet. Took about 10 days to get here. I didn't end up using the Knuckles shell. Even though it fits in, the plastic holes for the screws doesn't match a standard Genesis cart. Ended up scrapping a World Series Baseball instead.

Love the cart. Works great in my Nomad and my Genesis 1/CDX with 32x attached. I find it amazing that he can offer something on the scale of the Powerpak, minus the shell, for that price. I already have both powerpaks, but if he ends up adding DSP1 support, I'll gladly order one.

10 days is pretty good. I assume you used a moneygram? How much in CDN does that come to?

With the moneygram and currency conversion fee, it cost me $79 CND. Would probably cost less if you buy a few as the moneygram fee would be lower.

I tried this with my US sonic and knuckles and it doesn't fit.

:dammit: Thanks, I just wasted $27 importing this useless UK PAL cart that's nowhere near capable of fitting an Everdrive.

I am sorry to hear. It sucks when people give out advice when they don't know what they're talking about. When I first saw the everdrive the first idea that popped in my head was to use my Sonic and knuckles cart for it but it didn't fit. I have no idea why anyone would want to mislead and say otherwise.

I've got a Virtua Racing cart with a dead co-proccessor that might be cool to fit an Everdrive into. Assuming it fits.

I'd have to assume because he wasn't lying. Raylyd isn't exactly one to spread false information for kicks and it very likely did fit whatever cartridge he had. If you "wasted" $27 on a cart that is your own fault and should be aware that nothing is certain until you do it for yourself. Should've bought a game you liked had it not worked you'd have a game you like.

What is the point of sites like this if not to share our collective knowledge? I doubt there are different revisions of this cart/case, but who knows. I don't think he was lying so much as talking out of his ass.

Well, just reading my follow up and other people's response surely would be enough for most users to get that it wouldn't work.

Probably assumed it would fit and didn't bother to confirm it himself. Don't think he had any ill intentions to start with.

Why would you blow $27 on a game and shipping thats only for sacrificing when you could go to a thrift store and pay $1 for some crappy sports game.

Common sense really.

I imagine he wanted the flip lid for the SD slot.

Even so $27 for one game is just crazy. I didn't pay that much for Final Fantasy 7 when I first got it a few years back.

"It fits like a glove" made it look like raylyd had experience first hand.

Guys, i'm seriously pretty annoyed about this too - not that I tried the cart or anything - but the fact is, Raylyd has had 930 posts in these forums. So you would assume a response from him would be reputable.

SGGG2 - Sorry to hear that this guy led you on the wrong path

Raylyd is a reputable chap. I assume more than one revision of cart style was made and Ray's fit.

I've got a sonic and knuckles cart just opened it up and tried the everdrive in it.

The everdrive isn't even a close fit, the holes are alot wider than a standard cart you can see this without even opening the cart just look at the screws on the back.

Thats just the cart i've got don't know if there are different revisions.

I've seen two versions with two different manuals. I've just ordered SMD and SNES carts so I might test this soon. Better option would be to test Virtua Racing game - much cheaper. But there is one problem - case is too long so forget about using reset button.
