What I want is an IDE fuse to be placed on a PCB, you know the one that there's on HDDs and on mobos. There's a pic http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/29/ATA_on_mainboard.jpg
Where can I find such a thing?

Do you want a fuse or a pin header?

my guess is that he wants a resistor block or something. NicEXE- please illustrate better what you're looking for.

The same component shown in the picture (with the plastic frame, not just the pins) (there is a blue and a black one right down the ram slots)
I could also do my mod as well with a cable with the same connector at the end.

That's a fairly common part. The reason you can't find it is most likely because you're searching for a fuse and that is most definately NOT a fuse. ;)

It's just a 40 pin male IDE header. Google turns up plenty of shops selling them.

Here's one of the first hits:

Hope this helps.
