Hi,
i want mod my Turbo Grafx to Multinorm.
The Mod i like to use: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/pce/region.htm
I look for MC14551B or HEF4551B/CD4551 chips.
Im located in germany and dont found such ICs here .
Google search bring only links from shops in HK.
Can i use any alternatives, or someone has 2 chips for sell?
Thanks

Here's an easier way.
You need an 8P2T switch; although you can get small switches that are 4P2T and put two of these together.
If you have a PCE and not a TG or TG16 then you also need to ground pin 29 on the chip to make it region free, but not an issue as you have a TG16.
All you do is wire the switches up to swap the four pairs of connections as per the pic below, then you can switch between US/Europe and Japanese easily.
The method you mention with the IC chips on the guide allows using only one switch, however I remember on PCengineFX.com forum that they consider using switches to be far more reliable than the IC chips.

Many thanks. I got an TG from Parris. The plan was to mod it with rgb output and make it region free. I love soldering ;-).

I know the UK versions of the TurboGrafx have a CTX chip, not sure if the French ones do too - if they do, tap your composite or RGB off that. The chip amplifies the RGB signal. I have a guide on my website if you are interested.
