That's a very handy guide (excuse the pun!). Just out of interest, has the mod ever been attempted with the (US/ Jp N64) RGB output (amplified) to the PSOne Screen? I wonder what the results would be like.

I had a US RGB N64 wired to a PSone screen, very crisp picture.

PAL units can't be RGB modded, unless they are Australian or French ones, as the components needed to RGB mod are missing in other PAL units. NTSC systems can be RGB modded as you say though. Fortunately, composite on the N64 is quite good, although I am sure RGB is probably an improvement.

That's pretty funny actually. The land of SCART lacking RGB, heh.

Yeah, Nintendo pulled a nice joke on us there!

Best was the N64 RGB cable being sold here! A friend bought one and wondered why the picture stayed black, no joke.

Seriously!? That's awesome! That's even worse than the GC component cable confusion here in the states. Many people returned their cables because their TV, although having component inputs, didn't support 480p. Ah, marketing :-)

Yeah, and how about the joke that PAL units for the GameCube have RGB as standard, I don't think (so I was told, not had it confirmed) that NTSC ones don't!
