hi folks,
i just noticed this in an ebay posting:
".. one Mark III cartridge, Hokuto no Ken (the Japanese version of the SMS game Black Belt) ..."
i definitely had _no_ idea black belt was a Hokuto No Ken Game..
long ago i had like a lightning-bolt realization that the us genesis launch title Last Battle was also a renamed Fist of The Northstar title..
uh so anyway, i am wondering if any of y'all deeply knowledgeable folks can help me out with these questions:
- what other Hokuto No Ken titles were renamed for US release? It would seem to be a licensing issue, as the NES had a Fist of The North Star title, so it's no surprise that sega wouldn't have the rights at that point, maybe same deal for the genesis .. as far as i know, no other Hokuto No Ken games have made it stateside since then.
- maybe appropriate for another topic, but, if anyone can list off the top of their heads, other Hokuto No Ken games for any platform since then, that'd be cool too.. i know of a couple for SNES and PSX but im pretty sure they didnt make it over here.
