View Full Version : Dirty Disk Errors

So I started getting 'Dirty Disk" errors on my XeDK the other day. At first it was during boot up, so I assumed it was the missing credits movies. I put them back and the game started up as usual. However, today I had two DD errors while playing the game. It was working for about a week (without the movies too) before this started.

Is this a sign that my kit is on it's way out? I used the fanflasher utility to run both fans at 100% all the time, and I check the temps.

The only thing that has changed is putting in some converted game add-ons that weren't passing the in-game check (they were retail packaged on PN). I got them working and now they show up in game as they should... but I figured I'd mention it anyways.

Thanks for any help.

EDIT:
Just wondering if there are any tools that exist to read-in the temp of the console from a command window on the PC, to see what temps are in game?

What game are you trying to play? Dirty Disk errors are thrown when it encounters some problem that won't let it continue further, so maybe you've removed a file that you weren't using a week ago (made progress in campaign or w/e).

I have a feeling I know what game you're trying to play. Happened to me once too, no idea what's causing it.
