Some worth sealed games got wet.

I’ve a problem about some “wet video game”. A week ago in an old videogame store was a FIRE, some sealed games (all the games are IBM&DOS CDs and some 3.5” disks, old mean) absorbed water, others are ruined so then I opened them and others still very well so I keep them sealed. But two games are very rare, I‘m not sure if I would open them, there’s no matter with cd games I guess, but what about 3.5” disks.

The games are: Sierra MS-DOS 3.5” Space Quest 2 Vohaul’s Revenge of 1987
And MicroStyle ATARI ST Rainbow Warrior of 1989.

The first one is very wet; I put it over the vga monitor in orther to get dry and I did a little cut in the front, it maybe help (it gets more big like the diameter of a 50 cent coin), it didn’t work.
What would happen if I keep them sealed, the 3.5" disks might damage?

The boxes must look all irregular and terrible by now.Hard to hide water damage. The physical media might be ok, depend.

I`ll keep it sealed then. but i've some doubts about if the disk would be funtional, I hope nothing happens to it.
I think the game is more valuable if it is sealed.

when i have time i'll take a shot of the game for watching in the forum.

Yo te recomendaria abrirlo para chequear que los discos esten bien, sino capaz que empeoran con la humedad y ya de por si perdieron valor al dañarse las cajas, si lo dejas tal cual esta tal vez se dañen los discos y pierda todo su valor.

At least i've more sealed games, it`s a pity...
ojala que no se pongan bravos por escribir en español... es una pena que no haya rescatado el juego a tiempo, me imagino que los diskettes de 3.5" se pueden dañar con el tiempo, le he sacado la humedad con una tecnica propia pero sige saliendo agua, significa que no mejorara. Seguire sus consejos, no vale la pena que se pudran los juegos.
