What % of games do you buy do you actually play in full?

For me I buy several (6+ on average) a week of varuious kinds and for various formats but really only play 1 or 2 properly per month.

Are a lot of you in the same situation?

hmm, every game I buy gets a good playing unless it's some crappy pachinko or baseball effort that I bought because it was practicaly free. But I only really play 2 or 3 games over and over again every few weeks. the last two weeks gone have been dedicated mostly to Skies Of Arcadia but now that I've finished it I'm concentrating on Shikigami No Shiro 2 and back on to Psyvaira 2. I'm also playing the odd saturn game here and there for an hour or too. This is why I'm always awake at crazy times like now. It's 4:50am. Better get to bed I think.

I get an average of 1 game every two weeks or so. I usually give them a good playing, but it's been a long time since I've gone through and actually finished a game. I got through Metroid Zero Mission on my spring break last week, and have been going after Lunar Legend on GBA pretty heavily lately, but I just recently aquired Um Jammer Lammy, Metroid Prime, Nightshade, Resident Evil Outbreak, Darkstalkers, and Silhouette Mirage as well, which are going to get a decent amount of play from me for a while. I'm also fond of replaying Ikaruga on Dreamcast a lot just to try for better scores and such. And the fighting games I own always get a good amount of play just because that's one of my favorite genres.

Well, because of the rather rapid growth of my Saturn collection lately I dont have much time to actually play all those games (moreover some of my new games are PAL-optimised but my PAL Saturn is acting funny again) and theres still soooo much I still have to play :smt043

Man, I need a long summer holiday in a boring place with lots of games to play :)

I have about 100 games. Out of all of them. I've only beaten like 20. Also I tend to buy at least 2 games a month and I don't even play them. I just save them for later play of course. In the next few months though, I will end up buying about 10 more games. Most likely, I won't even get to play them.

I like to think of this as a retirement plan. Once I retire and start to live off of my huge savings I will start to play all of my games that I haven't finished.

Seriously though, I rarely finish games at the moment because I spend a lot of time with my young kids. Once they are a little older I'll be able to get back to finishing games, but for now I buy with the intention of completing them a little later :smt023

I buy a games at times and never even open them (I've got about eight GC games still in the wrap). If they do get opened though nine out of ten I'll finish it. I might not get 100% but I'll finish it.

I usually try to play a bit of all the games I own but don't usually get to spend more than half an hour with them... maybe one out of fourtyy games I own I play properly...

As I'm moving back to the states in the fall, I've been buying games like a banshee. I basically don't want to even have to look at the Saturn section on Yahoo/Ebay when I move, and the DC section will only have a few games I need. On that note, very few of them even get touched at the moment, but I do make it a point to put several hours into at least the action games, even if I don't beat them. I do give some of the RPGs a try as well.

I popped in Grandia: Digital Museum yesterday. My latest save file has 7.5 hours on it. :)

I play through nearly all my games in full...the only exceptions are games that totaly suck, and games that take me a long time (which I'll beat eventually)

I'm pretty sure that I've played through nearly every game I have at school with me...with the exception of....Harvest Moon: Back to nature, and Grandia for PSX...as they both take a wicked long time...though I'm almost through Harvest moon...But I play through most games I get

Luckily for me, a lot of the games I buy/play are arcade games, which aren't really that long...
