I always thought the sound enemy solidiers make in Metal Gear when you're spotted would be a good ring tone.

I used to have the Final Fantasy Victory Theme on my mobile... I found a MIDI of it, and the program (S35expl) which I used to transfer tones to my phone (Siemens M35i) converted them automatically :smt023
I did once download an archive with LOADS of Sega midi files from Direct Connect once, sadly it died with my 40GB harddisc :Hangman:

My phone uses SMAF format by Yamaha. It's a type of midi format in a way but can combine WAV files to 16 channels of midi. Standard midi tracks don't work on my phone though but there is a converter which is NOT the most user friendly thing in the world. You see SMAF has a completely different track system than midi making converting midis not so easy. The plus side is that some songs sound almost the same as the orignals.
I have 94 Sega songs plus 7 Konami songs on my phone :smt033 Feel free to down load this sample MP3 I made of them (Conected the phone to the PC through it's headset port) Here's what's on the 8 minute long 3.7Meg file
1. Virtual On - Bloody Sorrow
2. Sky Target - Opening
3. NiGHTS - Soft Museum
4. Hang On - Winning Run (I think)
5. Sega Speech logo (From the Japanese Sega adds and Sonic)
6. Gain Ground (Main BGM)
7. Fantasy Zone - ??? Boogi (I forgot this songs name)
8. Fantasy Zone - Fantasy Zone (Main BGM)
9. Initial D Arcade Stage Ver.3 - Heartbeat (I think)
10.Initial D Arcade Stage Ver.3 - Love Is In Danger
11.Phantasy Star On-Line - Dragon Gave a Loud Screem(Dragon Boss BGM)
12.Shenmue - Nozomi's Theme
13.NiGHTS - 1st Area Boss BGM
14.Power Drift - Best song but I forgot the name.
Please note that the quality of the MP3 isn't as good as the real thing but it gives you a great idea. Also this is a 3 year old phone (Probably what is new in Europe and the US now :smt040 ) The new Japanese phones have REAL Audio but I prefear the ones with 64 channel synth audio. Hate real music for a ring tone.
Here's the download link.

It's possible to get 1.7Meg download speed from this link if it's not busy since it's hosted on my server. So dowload for me took 2 seconds :smt033

70 bucks?? Bunch of rip-offs! Unless it's in Reais, but if it's USD I can get you a cable 3-4 times cheaper.
There are some .mmf files available at http://midr2.under.jp/ , some original, some videogame conversions and some more j-pop conversions. maybe interesting for you :)

I used to have mainly Metal Gear Soild themes for my ring tones on my old phone, sharp gx1. For the main ringtone it would play the main theme, my only problem was I would miss calls becasue I used to love just sitting there and listening to the track...sad init....
Also when I had my sony z5 I used to record soundfiles from the PC, the quality wasnt great but it was funny, when I siwtched the phone off id have this sound file playing
"Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye." from 2001:space odd.......
......yea I used to be a geek in the traditional sense but then I discovered women and Im now only a geek between the hours of 5pm and 10pm (my games playing time) and weekends......

Samsung give you the uploading software, all you need is the MIDI to MMF converter... and there's a (German) prog out there for free... type in MIDI TO MMF CONVERTER in google, its on a forum for download.
I have Zelda on my phone (and others)... have done since the Coca Cola Ericsson 1018S :D
I have a Nokia 5510, which has rather primitive OoT ringtones....
