I haven't started a topic in a while, so...

I personally don't really own anything too rare/expensvie. I've only started collecting hardcore in the last few years. The most valueble system I own is probably a TurboExpress, the rarest is the Cougar Boy (the Brazilian version of the Megaduck.)

Id imagine not very valuable but incredibly rare - A Factory Sealed Spindle Of 50 Blank GD-Rs :prayer:

it's OT but since asked item here is.

not sure whether this is rare but it certainly valuable as it's passed from mom's family.

for gamewise i guess Sonic Saturn would be one although it's not valuable...

Can it be non gaming related? If yes, I still don't have anything really rare or valuable, but two things that I have and like them very much are a few Planescape (an AD&D campaign setting, OOP) products I have and the brasilian limited edition of the Lord of the Ring book (there are 10000 thousand of these).

I'd say my most rare item is an unreleased Pippin game called College Thunder and my most valuable is a hand written letter by Abraham Lincoln thats been passed down in my family for over a hundred years.

I dont have anything really valuable/rare... perhaps my SNES backup unit comes closest, my mint PAL copy of Saturn Dragonforce is probably the most expensive game I own and when it comes down to numbers I have some N-gage promo material from 2003's E3.

Most valuable? Hmm...I don't have much of anything worth anything. Though my sketch book and my guitar are valuable to me ^_^

Rare & valuable??? (gaming)

Rare?
1) A mint never used Bandai Pippin Dev Kit with Floppy Dock :prayer:

2) PAL NR-Reader (Don`t think there were that many made/issued :smt017 (number PNR00309 so quite low)

3) Derby Stallion Saturn (mint/new) :smt023

Valuable?
Don`t think I have anything super valuable £ wise :smt017
But then there is so much stuff I forget what I have most of the time :smt023

Hmm....

I think my rarest thing would have to be my PAL Dreamcast display pod which is 100% complete.

I quite like my official Dreamcast replacement shells which I think are low in numbers.

I also have (as far as I am aware) a complete collection of UK and USA demo discs for GameCube display pods.

I have have a ton of gaming stuff, but none of its really valuable. I do have a complete set of first edition tom swift books though, as well as some of the origional wizard of oz books, which are worth quite a bit.

Yeah, come to think of it I can get hold of at least another two so they can't be that rare :smt040

I've also got a GBA demo pod (not the GBA SP version).

Suppose working at Game has some perks :smt043

I don't really have anything rare or expensive... let's see here...
Sophia Systems Target Box, heavy thing (killed me to ship it from Japan) I'm about to sell to a nutty friend of mine (much as I love it it's just too damn useless to me
Mario 2 (NOT the US Doki Doki Panic version) dumped on CART for FamiCom
Super Mario World for FamiCom (a funky 8-bit hack)
Victor Saturn RG-JX2 with a Victor RG-VC3 VCD card
Panzer Dragoon Saga (US in great condition)
So that's it... some plastic circles in a stupid rectangular case, a VCD playing Saturn, some FamiCom bootlegs and an ugly box...

-A few protos (Turbo and Saturn)
-PSO Network Trial Edition (DC -- only a few thousand)
-Phantasy Star Drama CD and Memorial Fan Book

None of the above would be easy to replace.

I think the only thing that I hope will become rare will be Kirby Fortune Teller. It was a Kids Meal toy for Wendys. They only had them for a month. I have three of them.

As far as games go. I would say Megaman X4 for Saturn (it goes for $30 on ebay whereas I got it for free). That or Arc The Lad Collection with Arc Watch and Strategy Guide. That or Unreal Tournament 2004 Special Edition (goes for $80 on ebay). Or my Virtua Fighter for 32x or Guilty Gear X for PC.

Hardware wise. I would say my 32x.

Nice stuff, Legit. I've never been into systems or dev systems due to the fact that I've always lived in a shoe box. The irony is, now that i've got the big pad, I have to move in 6 months. :(

Divine Evolution

Anti,
It would be inaccurate to say I'm giving up Saturn devving because I barely had any time to commit to it in the first place, I don't feel that the loss of a programming bax (that I didn't know how to use) will hinder any efforts I may make in the future...
However my one good friend who's a coding genius is graduating in just a few months and is considering moving out to California near me, and I know I've REALLY sparked his interest in console programming on the whole and Saturn programming in particular.
If he gets into it as whole heartedly as he's gotten into some of his projects we may actually see some meaningful work done in homebrew Saturn...
As it stands now I just work too much to sit and learn to do something that I find unbelieveably difficult. I know I acquainted you with the amount of hours I work between the store and the bank but just last week I ALSO partnered up with one of my ex-coworkers to do a little mobile tech service on the side (I'm a business owner now!) and I must say for the first week it's proved INCREDIBLY profitable.
Right now I'm just socking away the cash to pay off my car before my girlfriend (soon to be fiance :smt033 ) and I get our apartment together and restart school.
I've been concentrating SO much on that I haven't spent ANYTHING on games in over THREE MONTHS! *gasp!*
Anyway, with all that going on I'm just going to sell off the Sophia for now, Andy's a good guy so I know I'd be able to buy it back later on should I decide to, for the time being I think i cn make do with my PAR4+ and Comms-Link Card... =D

Oh and P.S.:
I don't even have a boot disc for my Sophia so (after a few consultations with Kev) I've decided it'd be hard to get ANY use out of it at all (without chipping it - a feat I can't imagine ANYONE is up to)...
I DO have a number of profitable game TRADE/SALES on the block though (nothing out of either my girlfriend or my collections - no worries [although I DID catch her considering trading in her Lunar SSS Complete to Gamestop - I hid it from her till she promised me she wouldn't trade it in to those lamers for the measly $14 store credit they'd give her for the perfect condition set]).
Also, we recently took a week off and went to San Diego! You can see a little site she made of our trip on her webpage at
http://www.thatartistgirl.com
There's a link to it on the front page (check out her art while you're there too)...
And while I'm at it here's a picture of me (because I don't think I've ever posted one)

This is a hard one because I've lots of game goodies, but one of the rarest items I own is probably a Katana GD-R disc. You simply don't see many of those. ;-)

Some other goodies also include a PSone surround sound tech demo done by Sony's DTS division and a Sega Sports branded Sega Saturn prototype (never produced commercially).

My most valued game goodie? I won't go for pure value simply because of all the protos I have on hand, instead I'll say that to *me* my most valued game is probably my autographed copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PSone. I've got that sitting right beside my mint copy of Dracula-X for the Duo.

Krelian: Nice to see you around again, and congrats on the soon-to-be fiance! And if she ever gets the notion to sell her Lunar: SSS, I'll pay more than the Software Etc. bums would! :smt040

As for me, I really don't own hardly anything rare, most of my stuff is fairly common. I suppose my Pc Engine Coregrafix is probably the most rare thing I have, and that's sad. Or possibly my Dreamcast Nakoruru Limited Edition set (although to be honest, I'm not sure if there was a regular release) or my Border Down Limited edition, and that's it. I'm so sad.... >_<
