Hey guys,

So I just finished modding my model 1 genesis (Hi-definition graphics model) to add stereo RCA outputs, as well as composite video. I'm noticing something odd however, there's some noise in the video, and bright white characters seem to shadow themselves. So on name input screens and such instead of having just the normal alphabet, it's almost like a a b b c c etc. The second character isn't solid either, some of the background colour does show through. Any ideas on what's causing it? I did continuity tests on all my points and everything looks good.

What kind of wire did you use for the mod?

Just some 22ga stranded wire I picked up at radioshack

Shit ground? Cold solder joint somewhere? Where are you getting the video from, directly under the DIN plug?

Looks like it was indeed a cold solder on the ground :P Thanks a bunch guys, now off to get the 2600 up and running again.. it has both sound and video problems.. Snow all over the picture making it nearly impossible to see the picture, and no sound or just static for sound. wooo :P I wish they used a standard sized rca connector on the board so i could see if it's the rf cable by just replacing it with a normal rca cable..

Thanks once again.
