Special thanks to ASSEMbler for creating this forum for us.

Now, lets get this party started.

Currently, I own the following...

- MV-2F CMVS (Consolized Multi-Video System)

- Bunch of MVS games

- Custom Joystick

Most can be seen on my fansite.

ASSEMBLER:

Neo AES system
Carry case (pink lining)
Neo MVS units:
MVC-1
2 Slot
4 Slot
Neo Geo pocket
Neo Geo pocket color
Maybe 4 games (metal slugs)
About 3 aes carts (blues, golf, magician)
One MVS cart for testing (AOF)

I've got....

AES (US)
5 Games (SS2, Blue's Journey, WH2: Jet, Ghosts Pilots, Baseball Stars 2)
2 Controllers, Old Style, Get shared with Supergun

MVS, 1 Slot, Can't be bothered to remember the model number. (Played on Supergun)
4 Games (3 Count Bout, WH2, RBFF2, Metal Slug X)

NGPC
3 Games (MONTM, Pac Man, Sonic)

No real desire to expand my AES collection. Costs too much. Wouldn't mind a few more NGPC games...but pretty low on my priority. I really really really want more MVS games. I've been playing with my MVS stuff a whole lot recently and now must have more.

MVS is one of the few platforms where I'm willing to pay much for a game anymore. Everything else (NES, SNES, Atari, Playstation, Etc...)is common. So ridiculously common that if I wait long enough I'll stumble upon most of what I want for a ridiculously low price sooner or later. Plus, what you get on MVS is worth it. More animation, bigger sprites, more colors.

Today came a very valuable NGPC item in my house!
2 Neo Geo Pocket Wirless communicators!
I have found only a few articles about them on the internetz and mainly from playasia (where they are out of stock for many years now) and also i have only found them once in my life on ebay and snatched them for 30$.

LINK (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-ka-49-en-70-5yr.html)

what do you think? is this ngpc peripherial any rare, or worthy to have in a NGPC collection?

I'm a bit of a latecomer and was never really into SNK games until their recent revival on the PS2 / Xbox, although I had previously played quite a few games on a mate's Neo Geo CD, and also used to have an NGPC, but sold that to fund a GBA as nowhere near me seemed to stock NGPC games at the time...

My SNK collection only really amounts to the PS2 and Xbox releases, such as the King Of Fighters series and Metal Slug games, although I do have various games of these series for the GBA, Wii, PlayStation, and PSP... Nothing really old though like MVS, AES, or NGPC

I don't have much, but I'm happy to be in the Neo Geo owners club! I've of course played Neo in the arcades on some games on the SNES/Genesis/etc. back in the day, and have been very happily playing Windjammers ever since the Neo's been emulated on Windows, so it's great to finally have the real deal. I joined the club just this year! I'm pretty thrilled to have a front loading Neo CD, since they're fairly hard to come by. Also happy to have a boxed AES, obviously. All of my stuff is the Japanese version. I'm not really too worried about collecting much Neo Geo stuff, but I would like to round out my collection a bit more. A few more AES games at least, some something decent for the Pocket Color. Also, yes... I'm fully aware of how retarded my NGPC collection currently is. Two freakin' pachinko games. I'm sure it is BY FAR the WORST Pocket Color collection of anyone who's ever owned one. I will admit to avoiding sex with my wife just to stare at my AES a bit. That's normal, isn't it?

Good to finally start Neo posting again, been spending way too much time on Amiga message boards....

I especially like the telephone card sections.

If it is O.K., please could I ask if you have any of the telephone cards that were part of the campaigns connected to some of the NEO GEO CD games, too (or even different items)?

You're very welcome with any answer about any piece of my collection. :)

Most of those 'not for sale' telephone cards are basically officially produced under license from SNK by big distrubutor/reseller chains in Japan, mostly Sofmap and Messe Sanoh, to be given to customers who prorder some specific new release titles.. Of course, this does not happen for NeoGeo. On the total contrary, it rarely happened for such a niche market system as the NeoGeo has always been. It happens everyday for mainstream products. As for me, since I strictly focus on AES I tend to focus on the few items related to that very one system, but I'm pretty sure more and more 'privilege item telephone cards were also produced for NGCD releases, just as for PSX, SAT, DC and PS2 ones.

Other NG related telephone cards have been officially produced by:

SNK itself, usually distributed via the SNK Support Club, or -under license by SNK- by Geinbunsha (publisher of the NeoGeoFreak jpn mag), Shinseisha (publisher of the very famous Gamest mag), MOVIC (famed gadget producer) and again quite some other companies.

I have seen them, and still do sometimes, some of the ones in your pictures. But sometimes I don't know which shop they came from, like Sofmap or Messe Sanoh for example. But I can see in some of the titles for you pictures you say which, which is also cool. ^_^

NGP Mexican Bundle: A blister with NGP and 3 games, one of those WITHOUT A LABEL to surprise the customer or something I guess. Mine came with Baseball Stars, Neo World Cup 98 and the suprise game was...Neo World Cup 98. SNK sold games in blisters here, the only one I have found is Crush Roller. SNK initially sold the NGP in the japanese retail box with inserts in spanish, and used to be very common about 8 years ago.

Will post later a picture of the mexican bundle. Back then I had as a hobby product photography, so I took a few of some game related items.

A broken NGPC blue that I played until it broke down, was part of the American bundle that came with 6 games. I think I got all the similar 4 game bundles.

A black NGPC that came in the original american retail box. Brand new, but the joystick has problems with diagonals for some reason. Haven't found a way to repair it :-/
