Hi i have found some pics of some games that i dont think had a release
on any sega system and maybe never did at all.it is possible that some may have came out on pc or another console and they have just used
a pic from them and put genesis under it.but at some point i guess the company's must of had a plan to release them on these systems at one point.

Creative Antics seems like it's a working title for Wacky Worlds on the Genesis, and Prime was released on the Sega CD in a two-pack with Microcosm (and only in that two-pack). The rest of those never got released (although there's an SNES beta rom of the Steven Seagal game).

Cool did not know about prime being released .but as for the seagal game
the snes proto dose not look like the same game as this one to me i know the pic is not great.maybe the snes copy is just a very early beta.

WHAT you dont think akira looks cool Not at all because from what I remember one of THQ's studios were doing it and EVERYTHING under the THQ label in the 16bit days was sub par to complete shit.

The Akira game was also planned for SNES, and was cancelled there too. I think it might be a port of the Amiga game, which was released as both a floppy and CD32 game.

7Force
05-23-2009, 10:43 PM
I doubt it. If you look at this review (http://amr.abime.net/review_991), you'll see the Amiga Akira is a completely different looking game from a completely different company.

rod_wod

I agree the amiga game looks nothing like these screen shots also i have a scan of akira for the game gear by THQ and its a gg screen shot.

That golf game was released on PC and Saturn under the name Virtual Golf (or Scottish Open: Virtual Golf for the PC version, I'm not really sure).

rod_wod
05-24-2009, 06:42 PM
Well this was going to be a release for 32x at one point so it still counts as a unreleased 32x game a bit.

7Force
05-24-2009, 06:55 PM
Yeah, I know it counts, but just saying that it's one of the few games in this thread that actually got released in some form.

I have a 3.5" floppy that has the ROM files for Kartoon Kombat, but the last file is corrupted and I couldn't find anyone who could join them together into a working ROM. I did manage to get some text from it though, I have to see if I can find someone who can take another look at the disk.

It's very cool to see a screen cap of it though!

Extract the partial ROM and hope that it doesn't use the last part of the ROM.

I always wondered what happened to those planed akira games. Are there any interviews out there with those directly involved with the game? The most I read was one person who did a little work on it and that's it.

Extract the partial ROM and hope that it doesn't use the last part of the ROM.

Tried several things, but no luck so far. Sent it to a PC repair shop who did nothing and then sent it along to a forum member to see what they could do with, no luck there either. There is some physical damage to the disk, so I'm not sure what can be recovered that has already been lost.

homepage of the associate producer of at least one of the planned home console versions of akira. contact information is on the page as well, apparently.
