E-cheques and ebay

Apolagies if there is a similar thread about this, but is there an option to disallow people who can only send echeques (presumably because their address isn't registered with paypal) from bidding on my ebay auctions? i know you can disallow people sending you echeques on paypal, but does this prevent people who send them from bidding on your items on ebay?

Not too much of a problem with them now, apart from them taking so bloody long to clear, but when I was skint a bit ago it caused me to go over my authorised overdraft and therefore got a nice £48 charge for it, as I was presuming it would be an instant transfer (and then only 2-4 days until it hit my bank account). I'd never even heard of an echeque before that event, it was the first one I recieved.

No, there isn't sadly, just have to stress it strongly in the auction and hope for the best.

Don't come across them too often but they are a pain.

Balls. The problem is a lot of people don't even know what echeques are, paypal as usual are crap with these things. Fortunetly it seems the majority of stuff I sell won't be affected as its gaming related, its only happened when I sold my phone and then again from someone who doesn't use paypal much.

You could just only accept bids from people with over say 25 feedback, yeah it takes away potential sales but somebody with 25 FB is likely to be a regular paypal user.

Ive got 108 feedback and i pay for my auctions like 5 mins after they end these days. Couple months ago i had ago at a seller for not shipping my item because paypal hadnt cleared yet. Turns out because my card details went out of date or something they just sent the payment as an e-cheque using my account details. Had no clue what the hell a e-cheque was untill 4 days after i paid.

I've had to use e-cheque once or twice becuase for some reason paypal wouldn't allow me to manually send money for something other than an ebay auction but it was a real pain.
