I have two cross systems mega / sega cd dev units.

Does anyone have the information for the two dip
switches on the front?

I already read the other thread, no help to me.

Two? You lucky git!

I assume you mean the one where the Mega CD is built into the Mega Drive? There was another debug unit that was more like a retail Mega CD.

I have two of the units that re-use the bottom and top shells of the mega cd and drive respectively.

The megadrive board in one is 100% special and the other has a retail board. The custom one has a cooling fan, the other does not.

What is interesting is the custom MD board has a faster crystal in it.

I tried mimicking the first unit, and I got nowhere. The custom unit
seems to be from sega and looks to be a early or prototype version
as it has a mega cd in it, the other has a sega cd.

Wasn't there one for sale on here quite a while back - you could look at the switch positions on the pics for that? Or is that the thread you say you've read.

I'm not going to take it apart and risk breaking it.

Change of heart? ;-)

Nope, the open one came that way with some kind of ramboard on top.

I guess no one has the jumper settings.
