That's probably only about half of it as there are racks of games and loads of hidden items not shown. These pics are also slightly out of date too!

More pics are here...

To answer those questions, yes they're PAL games, yes Riven came out (4 CDs) on Saturn.

Also Johnny, why not just use proper CD protective sleeves? I mean the kind you'll get from record shops. A place to look in the UK would be www.eil.com - you can get sleeves for the old double size CD album cases, which would fit Mega CD (euro) or PSX games.

I spotted one of my all time fav' Mega Drive games there ! Magical Turbin Adventure :smt023 Then they butcherd it for the western market and called it De-Cap Attack. What a load of shite that was.

Thanks guys, it's taken a long time to build all that up :) It's nearly 100% boxed stuff as I don't keep anything that isn't. It's also as mint as can be as I sell retro consoles on the net and keep all the best bits to make up my sets. Most of the machines are in new condition.

Must stop though, it's taking over the house :)

Bags are just small ziplock type. Room is very dusty.

Yakumo, I thought that was Magical Hat Adventure?

Ah that's right. I made a mistake. The real title is something crazy like MAGICAL HAT'S FLYING TURBO ADVENTURE

Thats such a cool game magical flying hat turbo adventure. One of my fave megadrive games ever.

The japanese title of it is Majikaru Hashito no Butsutobi Turbo! Daibouken :smt023

Close.
Buttobi Turbo Daibouken

It's lisetd (incorrectly) at Japanese Gaming. Someone else donated the scan (and description). A brig nonetheless. I should probably change it to reflect the Japanese name, as I do with the others.

This whole collection could well be up for sale soon. It was featured in issue 22 of Games TM and was the first of their now regular Ultimate Collection series. You'll not find another collection with so much mint boxed stuff for a long while. It's taken about 4 years of buying and selling retro stuff to make up each machine into something that looks like new.

I'd like it to go to a museum or serious collector as it's something a bit special.

I`ll have to fish that copy out

Not a bad collection there

One day I will try and take pictures of my kit but it would be so time consuming and space occupying for pics on the pc

Nice stuff though

So going to split it up as don`t think anyone will take it all in one go?

It's just time I think. I'm going to be moving in with my girlfriend fairly soon and we'll be in a small place with nowhere to put it all.

I'm quite sad about it and might keep some of my favorite bits but the majority has to go.

Price will depend on what I decide to keep and that will be negotiated with a serious buyer! it's likely to be starting at £6k though depending on what is bought. It's worth more than double that as a whole!

I wouldn't do it. You'll just regret it and wind up buyingit back. I've seen it time and time again.

When you buy something, think of it as a retirement investment.

By the time we're all 50, a boxed jpn megadrive will be worth a hell of a lot more than the $19 it's around now.

People will be paying something stupid like $1000 or more for a boxed psx, and you can get those for about $15 now off ebay.

I've left it a year now to see if I'd change my mind and I haven't. I'm getting older and have a wedding and house to pay for so it's time to break it up. I'll be placing most of it on ebay over the next few months or so.

It's sad but I think I have to do it :(

My wife is for ever saying to me

"Why don`t you sell it all we can have this & that etc etc!"

I can understand that for some people the thrill is the chase of getting either a complete set of NGPC games or every Sonic game ever made etc etc.

But to then do that an pass it on? Trying to sell complete HUGE collections is always problematic.

1) How many people have that much money to buy 1 bundle (very few)
2) How many people are in the same country as the seller so postage/collection again is out of the question
3) How many people would have the bulk of the items any way and probably want a small number of items out of hundereds/thousands
4) You are never really likely to get back anywhere near what you have splashed out for it all. And if you have a BIG money spinner why part with it after buying it a bargain basement prices, unlesss you bought it specifically to sell, in which case it would already be gone/traded.

Sometimes you are probably better selling in smaller bundles of same kit stuff.......Sega Mega CD or if you have got really rate items list them indvidually.

Dave Isherwood (QA @ Eidos) has just been getting rid of his HUGE collection of stuff via ebay in dribs and drabs and he has been doing very nicely (perhaps even after the ebay fees) but some of his stuff is uber rare, like 50 odd different GBA-SP`s.

I keep finding odd`s and sod`s all the time which I know are quite rare and unsual which then when I let people know make other people want them. The same goes here people post lastest buys and "Buggar me didn`t know that existed, must have one" then that occupies the next umpteen months trying to find.

Like ASSEMbler says in another 20 years time Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES boxed could be worth LARGE as so many people would have binned them. All sorts of stuff may jump up in value if still working and boxed.

Keep hunting hi and low for those rarities you know you want too

Hello, i'm new here.

I got a question, is that Master System in the bottom kinda like a Bundle with a Light Phaser and 3D glasses? Never saw that.

BTW: pretty good selection of console-smilies in this board^^
