SNK's Best Game?

I got to pondering this last night. After playing a round of Sengoku 3 (one of the best Beat em ups ever)

I asked around the consensus seems to be Metal Slug 3, Garou, and Samurai Shodown 2.

Crystalis also got a few mentions.

I'm gonna poll here. These games almost always come up in a disucssion about SNK.

BTW the last time I looked Alpha Denshi (ADK), Aicom, Noise Factory weren't SNK (or at least weren't when they wrote the games mentioned...) bit like putting Puzzle Bobble in the list as it first appeared on the Neo Geo

never got too into SNK's fighters. They're always so unbalanced that they aren't too fit for competetive play. But Metal Slug 3 is one of my favorite games ever

Considered Fatal Fury 4, Garou is easliy one of the best 2D fighting games ever to come from SNK. The gameplay in general is rock solid and the characters are incredibly well balanced, not to mention memorable and overflowing with personality. Garou was clearly made to compete with Capcom's Street Fighter 3 (http://www.fightersgeneration.com/games/sf3.html) series. Not only does Garou maintain the awesome fluid animation that could rival SF3 or AOF3 (http://www.fightersgeneration.com/games/aof3.html), but it sports some highly addicting and strategic gameplay, in which "button-mashers" have absolutly no chance against seasoned vets.
That pretty much says it all.

MS3 is too long in my opinion. It just gives me the impression that it was impossible to 1cc it, the other Metal Slugs are shorter and fairer I think.

I was torn between MS3 and Garou. Went with MS3. Samurai Shodown III is also great, i like it better than IV.

Honestly, I think MS3 is too long. It has lots of great ideas and all that, but I think they'd have done better in splitting it up into two games. MS1 is still my favourite btw, shortly before MSX.

I was just playing Agressors of Dark Kombat yesterday and I must say the game is very fun.

I haven't really figured out how all the moves work yet but the style and music is great.

I really wish some of the old developers would get back to there roots and give us a few more gems to play around with.
