Basically, I got a hold of some homebrew stuff and put it onto a PS2 Memory card. I had to go into DMS4 BIOS menu to change it from normal boot into memory card boot, etc. After hitting reset to save the changes, I now get a RED screen on my TV. I put in my old Toxic BIOS 1.4 CD in the drive and it just spins. I get nothing.

Anyone out there with expertise in this field?

Anyway I can save this or key combination to set this all back into default settings?

There's lots of forums that deal with specific mod chip issues, the dms4 forum seems down at the moment but you could also try the maxconsole (.net) forums.

Found some very good info that should bring your PS2 back to life.

^ Very informative thread. 10% useful advice, 90% flaming. LOL

The advice sounds good though.

Sweet! That trick fixed it! All I had to do was tap the reset button multiple times with a 1-second pause each time until it booted up. I then reflashed the BIOS. It's up and running now :).
